I warmly welcome you to reflect with me on these powerful words of life drawn from the final chapter of the Bible.<\/p>\n<p>We are living in the closing moments of human history\u2014the last dispensation before the glorious appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ. In this decisive hour, there is only one response that truly reveals the identity of the <strong>Bride of Christ<\/strong>: the cry of longing and readiness\u2014<strong>\u201cCome, Lord Jesus!\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>1. The Bride and the Concubine: A Call to True Relationship<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>There is a profound difference between a <em>bride<\/em> and a <em>concubine<\/em>. In Scripture, King Solomon had <strong>700 concubines<\/strong> and <strong>300 wives<\/strong> (1 Kings 11:3). The wives represented legitimate covenant partners, but the concubines, though close to the king, lacked covenantal rights to his inheritance and name.<\/p>\n<p>Likewise, Abraham\u2019s relationship with his sons illustrates this truth. Scripture says:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Genesis 25:5\u20136, NKJV)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd Abraham gave all that he had to Isaac. But Abraham gave gifts to the sons of the concubines which Abraham had, and while he was still living he sent them eastward, away from Isaac his son&#8230;\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Isaac alone received the <strong>promise<\/strong>, the <strong>inheritance<\/strong>, and the <strong>name<\/strong>, because he was the son of <strong>Sarah<\/strong>, the legitimate wife of covenant. The others, though blessed, remained outside the covenantal lineage.<\/p>\n<p>This distinction is symbolic of two kinds of Christians in the Church today:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Those who merely enjoy <strong>God\u2019s blessings<\/strong> (like concubines receiving gifts), and<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Those who are in a <strong>covenant relationship<\/strong> with Christ\u2014the true Bride\u2014sharing in His name, His inheritance, and His destiny (Romans 8:16\u201317).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Romans 8:16\u201317, NKJV)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs\u2014heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ&#8230;\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>2. The Prophetic Cry: \u201cBehold, I Come Quickly!\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>In the book of <em>Revelation<\/em>, the risen Christ repeatedly announces His imminent return:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Revelation 22:7, NKJV<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBehold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Revelation 22:12, NKJV)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>These declarations serve as both <strong>warning<\/strong> and <strong>comfort<\/strong>. To the unprepared, they are a trumpet of judgment; to the Bride, they are a call of hope and reunion. The repetition of \u201cI am coming quickly\u201d underlines the <strong>urgency<\/strong> of readiness and holiness (Hebrews 12:14).<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>3. The Two Voices That Respond<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Amidst all creation, only two voices are recorded as responding to this divine call: the <strong>Holy Spirit<\/strong> and the <strong>Bride<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Revelation 22:17, NKJV)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd the Spirit and the bride say, \u2018Come!\u2019 And let him who hears say, \u2018Come!\u2019 And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life .<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The <strong>Spirit<\/strong> yearns for the completion of redemption\u2014the moment when the Church, the Bride, will be united with her Bridegroom in eternal glory.<br \/>The <strong>Bride<\/strong>, filled with that same Spirit, echoes heaven\u2019s longing with the same cry: \u201cCome!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This harmony between the Spirit and the Bride demonstrates <em>spiritual maturity and unity with the divine will<\/em>. Only those filled and led by the Spirit can genuinely long for Christ\u2019s appearing (2 Timothy 4:8).<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>2 Timothy 4:8, NKJV)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFinally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>4. The Confidence of the Bride<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Why does the Bride respond with such confidence and joy? Because she knows that her <strong>redemption is near<\/strong> and that her inheritance is secure in Christ (Ephesians 1:13\u201314). The indwelling Holy Spirit is the \u201cguarantee\u201d of her future glory, confirming her position as the Bride.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>John 14:2\u20133).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd the Spirit and the bride say, \u2018Come!\u2019\u201d is not a mere statement\u2014it is a cry of <strong>intimacy<\/strong> and <strong>expectation<\/strong>.<br \/>Just as a bride eagerly awaits the day of her wedding, so the true Church eagerly awaits her union with Christ at His return .<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>That is why, when John heard the Lord say, \u201cSurely I am coming quickly,\u201d he boldly responded:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Revelation 22:20, NKJV)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAmen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Only those who walk closely with the Holy Spirit will echo that same cry in this generation.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>5. The Danger of Lukewarmness<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The <strong>concubines<\/strong> of the modern Church are those who claim the name of Christ but lack the inner life of the Spirit. They resemble the <strong>foolish virgins<\/strong> in <em>Matthew 25:1\u201313<\/em>, who carried lamps but had no oil. They represent believers without the continual infilling of the Holy Spirit\u2014professing faith but lacking power and intimacy.<\/p>\n<p>When the Bridegroom came, their lamps had gone out, and they were shut out of the wedding feast.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Matthew 25:9\u201310, NKJV)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut the wise answered, saying, \u2018No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.\u2019 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Therefore, the call to the Church today is not merely to identify as Christian but to be <strong>filled with the Spirit<\/strong> and live in readiness.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Matthew 22:14, NKJV)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMany are called, but few are chosen.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: right;\">\u00a0<\/h3>\n<p>If you have already received salvation but have been living a <strong>lukewarm<\/strong> or <strong>compromised<\/strong> life, this is your moment to <strong>trim your lamp<\/strong>\u2014to return to the first love (Revelation 2:4\u20135).<br \/>Repent, rekindle your devotion, and be filled afresh with the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18).<\/p>\n<p>Christ is not coming for a distracted or divided Church, but for a <strong>pure Bride<\/strong>, \u201cwithout spot or wrinkle\u201d (Ephesians 5:27).<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>\u00a0<\/h3>\n<p>Beloved, let us not simply rejoice that we are called <em>Christians<\/em>\u2014let us rejoice that we are part of the <strong>Bride of Christ<\/strong>, sealed and sanctified by the <strong>Holy Spirit<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The Spirit and the Bride continue to cry, <em>\u201cCome, Lord Jesus!\u201d<\/em><br \/>Let that cry rise from within us daily as we long for His glorious appearing.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>(1 Thessalonians 5:23, NKJV)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Maranatha!
