REPENTANCE PRAYER (or prayer of repentance)

REPENTANCE PRAYER (or prayer of repentance)

What is a repentance prayer? Should repentance prayer be directed when one believes?

Answer: A Prayer of Repentance is a prayer, in which one believer guides another who enters the Faith.

A person who joins the Faith is following the words of the Faith and confessing Jesus with his mouth, that he is the Lord and Savior of his life and died for his sins.

Now there is no instruction in the Bible that says a person after believing in Jesus as their Lord and Savior. then he needs to be guided by a prayer of repentance. There is no such text,

But there is only one text that says.

Galatians 6:2 “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.”

It means that ..The weak one in the faith must be supported and helped to stand  and eventually walk on his own … Just like an infant trying to stand up to walk … A parent must hold his hand and lift him up and help him walk.

The same is true in the journey of Faith. One who comes out of sin directly and receives Christ, is like a newborn baby …many of these don’t even know how to pray, even if they pray they feel God is not hearing…they do not know God, nor do they know the power of God well. They need support.

So when you hold their hands and help them,  pray with them in early stages … Their beliefs will rise and move forward. There are few who can hold their own

even standing up and growing spiritually without even being led to that prayer, but many of those who believe in the Lord Jesus in the early stages need much help. Because they are very young spiritual children born.

But if you let them pray for themselves in the early days … it is easy for the devil to make them think that they have not yet been saved or received Jesus. So they will continue for a few days and then fall back.

When they grow enough, then they do not need to be helped anymore but they must help others who are as weak as they used to be.

Thus the prayer of repentance stems from a Christian’s love for a new born child in the faith, and it is not a sin to lead men or to be led.

So love is unconditional.

Our Lord Jesus taught his disciples to pray … how much more should we teach and guide the spiritual infants in the early stages?

The Lord bless us.
