Prayer is divided into three main parts: 1) Prayer of Thanksgiving 2) Petition Prayer. 3) Prayer of Declaration.

Many believers are well-acquainted with this part of prayer.Thanksgiving is an important element of prayer. It’s therefore, our duty as Christians to offer thanks to God for all he’s done and is doing in our lives.

We give thanks to God for: 1)the gift of life 2)grace 3)love 4)mercy 5)protection 6)providing our daily needs 7)good health.

Generally, in the prayer of thanksgiving we express our heartfelt gratitude for what God does in our lives. We also show that we value and acknowledge his goodness, protection kindnesses unto us.

Here,we submit our petitions or rather requests. We boldly, yet, humbly make our needs known before God.We go to him in faith trusting that he’s our Provider and Ultimate Giver (JEHOVA-JIRE). Through petitioning, we ask God to: 1) Give us our daily bread; 2) bless the works of our hands; 3) Protect us against all ailments ;4) deliver us from the evil one; 5) Give us the grace to know more of him; 6) Create in us a spirit of brokenness and the willingness to obey his Word; 7) Give us wisdom; 8) Fill us with joy, peace, love and ; 9) for favour wherever we go.

Most importantly, we ask him to keep us from all the fiery darts of the Enemy, in accordance with the words of Jesus in Luke 22:40.

Prayer is the best weapon against all temptations. If we fail to pray then we are sure of being tempted.Remember Jesus’ words to Peter and his companions on that night in the Garden of Gethsemane. Had Peter prayed ,he would have escaped Satan’s temptation to make him disown Jesus. But since he had not clothed himself with strength through prayer,he ended up denying that he knew Jesus.Suppose Peter had taken the Lord at his word then God would have delivered him from this temptation. We therefore, are asked to begin and end our day by praying and blessing to reverse all evils directed toward us.

This is the last part and a very important element of prayer to a Christian. It helps us to keep from getting into temptation. Just like in the prayer of thanksgiving,we pray to God to deliver and keep us from all evil. It’s in God’s own interest to guard and vindicate them from all troubles they encounter in their journey of faith. However, while are still here on earth,we’re not guaranteed 100% protection from God.This is because we still live in this weak, imperfect and mortal tent.Till we are clothed in the glorious heavenly body,on that day of the second coming of our Lord.We need to accept the fact that in as much as our lives are in the hands of an all-wise and all-powerful God,we cannot evade some of these temptations.

For the devil is working day and night to ensure that his plan to cause our downfall succeeds. Despite that you lead an upright life and please the Lord in all your ways, you cannot evade the challenges and difficulties of this life. You will fall sick,be abused and slandered, among many others.Yet,remember that they just but for a while;they won’t last forever. For God cannot let us to be tempted beyond all we can bear,as he has said in His Word.

2 Corinthians 10:13 -“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man:but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able but will with the temptation also make a way to escape ,that ye may be able to bear it.”

In our daily lives,we will face temptations and be put to the test. All this comes from Satan whose work is to make us suffer trouble and be discouraged.

And it gives us every reason to continue steadfastly in prayer, declaring victory into our lives. Somebody may ask,how does Satan use his power to suffer us?He does it through declaration. He uses his agents:people or the fallen angels (demons) to declare misfortunes unto a person. However,no matter how big the misfortune declared upon you is,will happen in its full measure.

This is becoming we are protected by God to a larger extent. Our sufferings should give us a reason to think that God is unable protect us fully. Not at all. It’s in God’s own doing so we may know how weak we are without him,and therefore make us become God-dependent people. The challenges also remind us that our spiritual warfare is still ongoing ,until the hour of our redemption when we will be with our Lord.

2 Corinthians 1:8; -“For we would not ,brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life:

9. But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the death:

10. Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver:in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us.”

Prayer of declaration will help us to fight against the wicked schemes of Satan directed toward us.Whenever we practice declaration in prayer,we sap Satan’s power

He becomes powerless. When we make declarations that oppose those of the Enemy,we become victorious. Remember your tongue has the power of life and death.Learn to use it wisely!(Proverbs 18:21). Prayer of declaration helps us to defeat Satan’s tragedy in our lives.Unplanned for happenings will in not so much way have grip on us.That’s the power of prayer! Declaration is one of the 6 weapons of the full armour of God, that we are commanded to put on,if we have to defeat Satan.

Ephesians 6:11– “Put on the full armour of God,that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13. Wherefore take unto you the full armour of God,that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day,and having done all,to stand.

14 Stand therefore ,having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness.

15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16. Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17. And take the helmet of salvation ,and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God:

18. Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for saints;

19. And for me,that utterance may be given unto me,that I may open my mouth boldly,to make known the mystery of the gospel;

20. For which I am an ambassador in bonds:that therein I may speak boldly,as I ought to speak.” Biblically,we are to spent at least one hour in prayer. It is a command from our Lord Jesus according to:

Matthew 26:40-41;-“And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter,What, could ye could not watch with me one hour?Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation;the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

In the spiritual world, the spirit and the flesh work in utterly strong opposition. Whereas the spirit is willing to pray, the flesh on the other hand is weak.We have a great task to stand our ground and overcome the power of the flesh. While Jesus lived sinlessly, yet, he was a prayer warrior.

He spent most of his time on earth praying. This poses a challenge on our side, that we should pray even more, for are sinners and therefore imperfect.

May God of all power fill our hearts with the willingness to pray and strength to overcome evil.

God bless you.

Is it sin to read the Bible on the phone or tablet?

QUESTION: Is it sin to read the Bible on the phone or tablet at church? or to use it for preaching at the altar?.

ANSWER: To find the right answer to this question, let’s move on and ask the school teacher, Is it okay for him to teach his students using a tablet or phone?… Or is it better for his students to follow what he teaches using their phones or tablets and not books?.

For any teacher who knows his responsibilities he will never be able to allow his student to come in with a phone while he is teaching, no matter what material the phone will have for their teachings..and he himself cannot teach his students by phone. He will allow his students to use their tablets, or their phones, or an ipad or computer after school (at home) or if the subject he wants to teach his students is very much related to those devices (May be computer studies or whatever).

And the purpose of doing so is not that the phone is bad, no!..but because phones have so many features that it’s easy to distract a student attention from the studies, because when a teacher teaches on front, a message might come in, or the phone may rings, or it may suddenly shuts down, sometimes it stacks etc … Unlike a book, the book does not have the interaction of many things that can divert one’s attention. One cannot read a book and suddenly it shut down, or pop up  messages. That is why to this day reading using a book has remained the best and most effective way for students.

And in the church it is so, the Church is more than secular schools and classrooms. The person who enters there goes to study or teach Heavenly Education, which is the greatest of all knowledge, so great care is needed for both the one who is going to teach and the one who is going to learn. So the bible written in the book is the best way and will remain so until the end. Someone who teaches by telephone or who enters a church with a lighted phone or tablet, still does not know who he is going to look for, nor does he know the value of God’s Word.

Now it’s not that the use of biblical phone and Tablet and Computer is bad! Not bad, it is good in the specific area, but not in the church.

In the same way you can be at work or on the street and meet someone and witness to him/her the gospel,  and in that place you do not have a bible to quote scriptures, then you can use the bible on your phone or Tablet or your ipad, to witness or refer the scriptures. But the church is a classroom, not an earthly class but a heavenly one, so we need a Book of Life called the HOLY BIBLE.

The Lord bless you.

Responding with consideration to those with an outstretched hand: feeding the hungry;or giving attire to the poor;reaching for the rejected among other acts of compassion is like bearing their burden.

To labour for mankind ;showing the lost their way;being joy in someone’s sorrow, and comfort in someone’s grief ,usually happens when a heart with pity filled becomes conscious of God’s mercy, grace, compassion and help lavished upon us in our lives. This should be our greatest desire here on earth:bearing other people’s burdens. We owe our all to Jesus,we owe him so much more. Our Lord Jesus experienced compassion fatigue while on earth.

He looked at our marred lives. We were like sheep without a shepherd, straying and lost in a sin-darkened world.God,through mercy, made him who had nothing that deserved death to suffer for our sake. He was crucified, stood all shame and humiliation on the cross. Through his suffering and death we’re made free and declared righteous. God,in his perfect plan of bringing salvation to mankind made him who knew not sin to bear our sins.Nails could not have held him there were it not for love.Looking at the way he hang on the cross,Jesus would rather die than live without us.

2 Corinthians 8:9 -“For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.”

There wasn’t other means to save mankind. Not blood of bulls nor goats could atone for our sins.Only the precious blood of Lord Jesus Christ. He took our infirmities into his body.He was offered once that many could receive life eternal. The whole plan of salvation was accomplished through him;the Lord’s sacrificial Lamb, who takes away the sins of the world.

John 1:29; -“The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him,and saith,Behold the Lamb of God ,who taketh away the sin of the world.”

God’s secretful idea of raising Christ from the dead was something unexpected by many. This is because our sins deserved eternal punishment, and, since Christ had borne all our sins, he did not have ressurect. However, the secret behind this was that, having lived sinlessly while on earth,God raised him from the dead without sin. Therefore, he overcame the grave and death has no mastery over him again.

Hebrews 9:28; -“So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many;and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.”

Suppose you committed an offence punishable by a jail sentence. While you’ve been tried in the court of law and the Judge pronounced a life sentence for you, someone willingly offers to take your place. He offers to serve the whole term of sentence in jail on your behalf. After a few days, the persons in the village with these news:he’s won the case and you are all free!Normally, the news would raise a number of questions before you accept it.Still, the person makes his words sure by saying that he’s been made the Chief Justice and has the power to exercise justice over the land(nation),as well as passing judgment.

That’s exactly what Jesus did. While we were sinners,he laid down his life for our sake. After he suffered death and then rose from the dead,God glorified him.He gave all power and everything in heaven and in earth were put under his charge. He now reigns our Judge. He will come again to judge the living and the dead.

Mark 28:18; -“And Jesus came and spake unto them saying,All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.”

Acts 10:40; -“Him God raised up the third day,and shewed him openly;

41 Not to all the people ,but unto witnesses chosen before God,even to us,who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.

42 And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of the living and dead.”

the ref to Christ died for all, though, not everyone would be willing to accept God’s gift of salvation by believing in his only begotten Son.And in as much as God’s love is persistent, it’s never pushy.God has given each one the gift of free will to choose between LIFE and DEATH.

Deuteronomy 30:15;-“See,I have set before thee this day life and good ,and death and evil.”

Jesus is the light of the world. To be on the safe side, choose light rather than darkness;for the light gives life but darkness is the highway into eternal doom.Sadly, many will to dwell in the dark at their own will, rejecting him who is the light.

John 3:18-20; -“He that believeth on him is not condemned:but he that believeth not is already condemned, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.”

God bless you

Blessed be the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Today is a gift God has graciously granted us,and we,therefore,as our duty have to appreciate and make good use of the opportunity.

It is our duty to study God’s Word and apply our hearts to understand it; as it is a lamp to our feet and our life here on earth. According to the grace given us today,we shall learn about The Year Acceptable of the Lord, as spoken by Jesus in his teaching:

Luke 4:18- 19 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor;he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind,to set at liberty them that are bruised

19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.“.

It is important to understand this: while the Bible uses the term ‘year’ in some places,it refers to a certain period of time in the Lord’s calendar, with a beginning and an end,set apart to accomplish a destined purpose.

This implies that if this is the time acceptable by the Lord, then, there must have been times unacceptable to him.Consequently, we need to understand the very purpose for which this period of time was acceptable to the Lord. In the Old Testament times, the fiftieth year,Jubilee, was declared a year of deliverance.During this period, the land was left to rest, and uncultivated. Also,it was a time when all captives were set free and all who indebted were forgiven their debts (Leviticus 25:11).

In a similar way, this is the very reason why Jesus Christ came on earth;to loosen all forms of chains and entanglement (both spiritual and physical); to preach the acceptable of the Lord, that is,the time of God’s favour upon the human race ; to save and to reveal himself to man,as well as his love to the humankind. Remember, in the Old Testament times,no one would approach God nor enter his presence without being guilty of committing sin.As a result, only the high priest was allowed to enter the Most Holy Place in order to make atonement for the sins of the people and his own sins(the sins were not washed away, but were only covered up.)

However, when Christ came on earth he became our High Priest.Confidently,we now enter God’s presence to receive forgiveness for our sins and also talk to him through prayer;since we have a High Priest who intercedes for us and hears us when we pray. Moreover, we can commune with God in the Spiritual world,as does the Father and his only beloved Son.Hallelujah!.

Meanwhile, we still live in that period of the year acceptable by the Lord. However,it won’t take long before the throne of God’s saving grace is removed from its place. When once our Lord Jesus Christ comes to take his church with him to heaven, there will be no more room for God’s mercy on the evildoers. What will happen after this is so dreadful;the outpouring of God’s wrath on all those living on the face of the earth.

Luke 13:24 -Strive to enter in at the strait gate:for many ,I say unto you, will seek to enter in and shall not be able.

25. When once the master of the house is risen up,and hath shut the door, and ye begin to stand without ,and to knock at the door saying Lord,Lord, open unto us;and he shall answer and say unto you,I know you not whence ye are.

26. Then ye shall begin to say ,we have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.

27. But he shall say, I tell you,I know you not whence ye are;depart from me,all ye workers of iniquity.

28. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets,in the kingdom of God,and you yourselves thrust out.

To all who are still far away from God’s grace, this is the time acceptable to the Lord.A time you and I have to forsake our old ways and turn to God.Don’t wait for tomorrow as we do not what the future may bring forth.

2 Corinthians 6:2 -For he saith ,I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

Dear breathen, now is the time. Take a step in faith and turn to God before it’s too late.Repent and surrender your life to him.He loves you and is ready to receive and to remake you into a new person.Without delay,be baptised in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord will then send forth his Spirit upon you, just as he promised in Acts 2:38. Daily carry your cross and follow him.

God bless you.

How long did it take for Noah to build an ark?

How long did it take for Noah to build an ark?

The Bible does not specify how long it took for the Noah to build an Ark. Some say it was 120 years old, according to Genesis 6:3,

” And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. “

However his argument can still don’t  make sense. But the Bible also says that Noah begat his sons when he was 500 years old, (Genesis 5:32).And it says he entered the ark at the age of 600 years old, thus making a difference of 100 years , that gap between he probably used to build the ark, but also this argument has a few limitations.

In short, the Bible does not say how long it was built, so it is probably something that is not very important for us to know.

The important thing to know is that, If the first world was flooded with water for the wickedness of mankind, then this second world in which you and I live will also be flooded in the same way because of human evil. Yes it wont be flood by water since God had promised that will never happen again, but the same God promised that the world we are living now will be destroyed by fire.

2 Peter 3:6-7kjv

Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

Sin such as adultery, corruption, hatred, intrigue, drunkenness, homosexuality, blasphemy, lust, abortion, theft and all others are what drowned the first world in the water. And that is what will drown the world we now live in.

Are you saved?

How many children did Ibrahim have?

How many children did Ibrahim have?

Ibrahim had total number of eight(8) children according to the bible, And all were men.

The first son was Ishmael, who was born to a concubine of his wife Sarah, named Hagar (Genesis 16: 1-4).

Second son, was Isaac (The son of promise), who was born 14  years later after the birth of Ishmael.

Genesis 21:1-2 kjv

21 And the Lord visited Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did unto Sarah as he had spoken.

For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.

When Sarah died, Abraham took another wife, whose name was Keturah. (Genesis 25: 1-2)

This Keturah is the one who When Sarah died, Abraham took another wife, whose name was Keturah. (Genesis 25: 1-2)

This Keturah is the one who was born to Abraham with 6 other sons. To make the total number of Abraham’s children 8,

However the Bible does not say that he had daughters..

Genesis 25:1-2kjv

1 Then again Abraham took a wife, and her name was Keturah.

And she bare him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah.

Of Abraham’s descendants, only Isaac was the heir. Other sons were given only gifts, but Isaac was given all, gifts as well as inheritance, because he was the son of the Promised One from God.

Genesis 25:5kjv

And Abraham gave all that he had unto Isaac.

In the same way, we can all become God’s people, created by God, but not all of us are God’s promised children in the likeness of Isaac. The sons of promise are those who have been born again (ie being saved). And these are the ones God has prepared  everything to them, both rewards/gifts and inheritance of the kingdom of heaven.

So you and I should strive to be the sure we all children of promise..

What does mote and beam mean? (Matthew 7:3 )

What does mote and beam mean? (Matthew 7:3 )

A beam is a very large piece of wood, it can be a log, or a pillar, or any wide plank.

But a mote is a very tiny piece of wood, like a sand, even the dust of wood that is very hard to see is still a mote/speck.

Now the Lord Jesus gave that parable, to emphasize what He wanted to say, that is, in a normal situation, if you can’t see the pillar of wood standing in front of your eyes blocking you from seeing everything ahead, how will you be able to see the wooden dust in your partner’s eye?

See, without doubt, that is hypocrisy.

In the same way, before we judge people, let us examine our lives first. what they do, are we not doing them? Before you point finger to someone who is gossiping, be sure first those things are not in you? If not then it is better to keep quiet, because the verses above say, with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

Matthew 7:1-5

7 Judge not, that ye be not judged.

For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.

May the Lord help us all to overcome that.

Who is Azazel/ scapegoat we read in Leviticus 16:8?

Who is Azazel/ scapegoat?

The word Azazel/scapegoat is mentioned only once in the bible, we read it in the book of Leviticus chapter 16.

Azazel was not a man or a priest but a goat set apart for the atonement of the sins of the children of Israel, was not slaughtered for sin like any other goat but was taken alive to the wilderness and abandoned there. such kind of goat is known by that name.

These instructions was given to the children of Israel by God, to be held  on the great day of Atonement only once a year, on the 10th day of the seventh month of the Jewish calendar, when the High Priest went to atone for the sins of all the Jews

On that day no one was allowed to work, but to dwell in his house, tormenting himself with his own sins.

Now in this day the High Priest is first responsible for making atonement first for himself and for his people ( his households), and then he goes to make atonement for the sins of others, otherwise he will die.

After he has finished to make an atonement for his sins now he is ready to make atonement for the children of Israel, here he was commanded to take two goats from the congregation for a sin offering and one ram for a burnt offering (Leviticus 16:5), after which the high priest stood before the tabernacle and voted between the two goats.

Leviticus 16:7 KJV

And he shall take the two goats, and present them before the Lord at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

When he has finished, one is taken for the burnt offering for the sins of all the people, then his blood was sprinkled in the tent of meeting and the altar, and the second one is not killed but rather the high priest puts both his hands on the horns of the goat (who is called Azazel) and then the priest confesses all the sins of children of Israel which they have committed against God, before the goat that stood before them, after which the goat is delivered to one man  and then taken to the desert far away from the dwelling of the people and get abandoned there. Then due to that act the iniquity of Israel is covered.

Leviticus 16:21-22 KJV

21 And Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the head of the goat, and shall send him away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness:

22 And the goat shall bear upon him all their iniquities unto a land not inhabited: and he shall let go the goat in the wilderness.

It is a complete picture we see in the New Testament, Christ as our Azazel took our sins and all our accusations, was crucified outside the city, was counted as Nothing for us. And through him our sins are blotted out, unlike the goat who in the coming year should be given another… How happy you are to be redeemed by Christ,. If you have been forgiven of your sins, you have been forgiven indeed.

2 Corinthians 10:3-4 Kjv

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

Christian mission to go into all nations and make disciples is likened to the activities of soldiers on a battlefield. The soldiers launch an ambush to attack the Enemy’s camp by surprise; without their knowledge. Having destroyed the whole camp and taken some captive, the soldiers plunder the Enemy’s goods.

Likewise, as we go out to win souls,we are not supposed to make any treaty or agreement with the enemy nor seek counsel with him.All we have to do is to attack the enemy’s camp and lead captivity captive.

Wherever we are,and whatever we are doing ,it is our responsibility to tell others about Jesus. With great courage and intrepidity of mind, get to work.We can’t leave it to chance that someone else will do it for us.For amid the Enemy’s camp are many who are captive.Though sure enough that he will be defeated, the enemy will try to fight back, but we as the soldiers of Christ should stand in the hottest place of the battle and sustain the whole fire of the enemy.

Utilize every available chance in preaching the Good news. If you meet a sick person, pray for them that they may get well.In the same way, when you encounter a demon-possessed person, use the opportunity to rebuke and drive the demons out of them so they may be free.Thereafter, tell them about Jesus.

Let not anything deter you from teaching and preaching the gospel.Factors like age, education, status, fame, way of dressing, among others should not scare you. Don’t compromise on anything, whether the person is your leader,or your teacher, or you’ve just met for first time, preach to them fearlessly. You have been furnished with “weapons mighty through God to pulling down of strongholds.” Remember, there are many whose lives were changed through people who have never been to school. All you need to do is to put on God’s amour and get to work.

The very power by which you were changed is the same that will change others.Until you came to believe and obey the gospel, God used his servant to lead you to liberty, and so you became a slave to righteousness through Christ. He then gave you the grace to serve him in the newness of life. The gift given unto you is a weapon by which you are to win more souls for him.

Ephesians 4: 7-8 Kjv

7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

All who have accepted Jesus are indebted to him in everything. It is our responsibility to share the gospel with others so they may be changed. We are to actively take the gospel to all people, whether in the villages, schools, hospitals, prisons, within the country or in foreign countries. Don’t hesitate in fulfilling your purpose to make disciples. God has promised to be with you:

Matthew 28:18-20 Kjv

18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

God is faithful and as he has promised in his Word,so it shall be.He will be with you until the end of times. But this will only be if we will go into all nations and make them disciples of the Lord.May the Lord of all power and grace help us to trust him.

Our motive should not be on gaining fame or getting money, but to pass along to others the kindnesses shown to us.We are to be faithful in our mission, knowing that we have a reward kept for us in heaven. What does it mean “in the abundance of wisdom there is the abundance of sorrows”.

Blessed be the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Today we will learn very briefly about paying tithes, Scripturally tithes are the 10th part, of one’s income to God. So tithing is one of the types of offerings.

Before we go to deeper to learn about the importance of paying tithes, whether it is necessary or not! Let’s learn first a little more about the history of tithes.

Tithing for the first time began to be paid by a man named Abraham, who is known as the Father of Faith.

We read about this in Genesis 14

Genesis 14:17 “And it came to pass, that, when Abram was returned from following Chedorlaomer, and the kings that were with him, then the king of Sodom went out to meet him in the valley of Shaveh, which is the king’s dale.

18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.

19 And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:

20 And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. ABRAM GAVE HIM A TITHE OF ALL THINGS ”.

Abraham gave the tithes to this Melchizedek, remember this Melchizedek was God incarnate… and is also known as the High Priest, the image of the Son of God (Jesus Christ) having neither father nor mother, nor beginning of days or ending of days. So it was God Himself who came in human form.

It came to pass when Abram was come out to rescue his uncle Lot, who had been taken captive together with his sons, on the way back he met Melchizedek, and this Melchizedek was carrying Wine and Bread, and he gave it to Abram and because Abram loved God so much,  he did not consider it necessary to receive free gifts without giving…Above all God has appeared to him and succeeded him in the midst of his enemies and defeated them! So he was touched with it and he saw it was not right not to give anything back to his God, so he decided on his own without being told by anyone to give his God 10th part of his possessions!!! What kind of heart is that? Remember he was not even told by God to do that, only he himself had something in him that made him feel bad if he saw his God leave empty-handed, and that is nothing but the Holy Spirit in him.

Did the law work?

Now at that time there was no law, no 10 commandments and God did not enter into a Covenant with Abraham about tithes, the law of tithes came about 400 years later, it was necessary to pay tithes, if a person did not pay tithes it was considered a sin for him!, and before God he was like a thief (Malachi 3:8-9).

But now we are not living by the law but by faith, and the Faith we are talking about is the same Faith as that of Abraham, that is, the Faith of doing things without compulsion, and that Faith is the same as Abraham, of giving God 10 percent unconditionally! ..Abraham gave unconditionally, no law, no law! because the Law had not yet come, nor was it compelled, nor was it implanted or implored; nor inquiring God, he said God is my giver (Jehovah-YIRE), so if he has given me a large portion of these things, then why shouldn’t I repay him at least 10 percent of the things he has given me. And he made it his law always! Every 10th he gets he gives back to God.

Brethren, Abraham met Melchisedec, and even now this Melchisedec is with us and he is none other than our Lord Jesus Christ, the scripture proves that..

Hebrews 6:20 “When Jesus, who came before us, was our forerunner, he was a high priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.”

Hebrews 7: 1 “For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;

2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; (The translation of his first name is King of Righteousness, and again, King of Salem, meaning, King of Peace;

3 He has no father, no mother, no parents, no beginning of days, nor end of life, but is likened to the Son of God); he remains a priest forever.

4 Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.

Hebrews 5: 5 “So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.

6 As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec”.

You have seen that Christ was likened to Melchizedek, and as Melchizedek was given the 10th part by Abraham, so also Christ is entitled to the 10th part, because he is the Melchizedek of our Covenant, and just as Melchizedek fought for Abraham, so Christ now fights for us.

And just as Abraham gave Melchizedek the 10th verse without any conditions, or without law, or without law, or without any preaching, or without counsel, or without any other motive, so today we must offer JESUS CHRIST 10th part. without any law, without any restrictions, without any preaching, without being influenced by any man.

It should be a heartfelt expression that we recognize the presence of Jesus Christ in our lives and so we honor him by giving him 10th part, he is not after our money! But he is watching over our hearts! And the Lord Jesus Himself allowed that in (Matthew 23:23).

If you see someone objecting to pay TITHES! And to give to God, That’s proof that He doesn’t have the HOLY SPIRIT in him! It is one of the proofs of a man who lacked the Holy Spirit in him!.

Because it is clear that he does not love God, because he cannot thank God for giving even 10 percent of his possessions and giving them back to him, even though he inhales free of charge, tramples on land that is not his own, eats food that he does not know how to make! He does not appreciate even the Christ who gave his life for him. In short he is an ungrateful man.

And how can such a person thank God for giving 10 percent of his life to preach the Gospel ?, how can he give even his life for the sake of the Gospel ?, or how can he die for the Faith? If only 10 per cent of his money could not give it ?. How can that Person even give up everything and follow Christ if only tithe giving is war? Just think!

So TITHES are not something to be avoided at all! It is not given by law or by the law, nor is it written in the Bible, but by the heart like Abraham!

If you don’t have a job that gives you an income then you are free !, but whatever you get other than work give it away the 10th part of it, give it back to your God, you have no job but you have been given a certain amount of money make sure you give out the tithes, and give wholeheartedly without coercion, because our God is not a revenue collector! He wants us to give to Him wholeheartedly and joyfully, realizing the importance of giving to Him as Abraham did.

Now the question is what! If you don’t pay tithes will you go to hell?

What will send a person to hell is not the act of breaking the tithe or committing adultery, or stealing, or insulting no !! what will send a person to hell is the lack of the Holy Spirit in him,

where now the result of not having the Holy Spirit is that he will now be a thief, a fornicator, a blasphemer, a man without a heart to give, he will not be able to help others, and he will not contribute anything to the kingdom of heaven through his giving, he will also be unforgiving, Because A person with the Holy Spirit cannot do any of these things because the Holy Spirit will be speaking in him about sin and he will also be pushing him about why he do not give to God, so he cannot avoid paying tithes as he cannot help others or pray.

There is a saying that “I am perfect in every way! Except for tithes I do not give!”

That is a lie of the devil brother! it is impossible for a person to be perfect in all things and then miss one thing that does not pay tithes! There is no such thing!

If a person does not pay tithes while he can, then he must also be evil in other respects, it is the same as saying that this person is holy in everything but the only defect is an adulterer! That is a lie… One sin interacts with another, the adulterer must be greedy, resentful, a liar and a traitor, jealous, a competitor even if on the outside he will not be seen but in his heart he has all that.

So avoiding tithing is a sign of lack of the Spirit, and all those who do not have the Spirit of God the Bible says they are not His (read Romans 8: 9), and if they are not His then they will go to hell!

The Lord Bless you.
