This mirrors Jeshurun\u2019s story. The temptation of self-sufficiency is as real now as it was then. Jesus Himself emphasized this danger:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>\u201cIt is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.\u201d<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>(Mark 10:25, NIV)<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This doesn\u2019t mean riches are inherently sinful\u2014but when blessings replace the Blesser in our hearts, we fall into the same trap as ancient Israel.
