Jesus teaches a parable to encourage His followers to persist in prayer and never lose heart:<\/span><\/h2>\n

\u201cThen He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart, saying:<\/b><\/p>\n

In Luke 18:1\u20138 (NKJV)<\/b>,<\/h2>\n

\u2018There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God nor regard man.<\/b>
<\/b> Now there was a widow in that city; and she came to him, saying, \u201cGet justice for me from my adversary.\u201d<\/b>
<\/b> And he would not for a while; but afterward he said within himself, \u201cThough I do not fear God nor regard man,<\/b>
<\/b> yet because this widow troubles me I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.\u201d\u2019<\/b>
<\/b> Then the Lord said, \u201cHear what the unjust judge said.<\/b>
<\/b> And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them?<\/b>

\u00a0<\/h3>\n

The widow represents the <\/span>believer<\/b> who continues to pray and trust God, despite delays or discouragement. Her persistent faith is what Jesus highlights.<\/span><\/p>\n

What Does \u201cWill He Find Faith?\u201d Mean?<\/b><\/h3>\n

In verse 8, Jesus asks a rhetorical question:<\/span>
<\/span> \u201cNevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

This doesn\u2019t suggest He is unsure, but rather <\/span>emphasizes the rarity<\/b> of enduring, persistent, and expectant faith in the last days.<\/span><\/p>\n

Theologically, this refers to:<\/span><\/p>\n

The Great Falling Away<\/b> \u2013 Paul warned of a time when many would depart from the faith: in 1 Timothy\u00a0 4;1<\/span><\/p>\n

Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons.\u201d<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span>

\u00a0 Spiritual Apathy and Worldliness<\/b> \u2013<\/span>Many will mock the return of Christ and focus on\u00a0 worldly concerns:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cScoffers will come in the last days\u2026 saying, \u2018Where is the promise of His coming?\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/i>

The Importance of Enduring Faith<\/b> \u2013 True faith is <\/span>not passive<\/b>, but <\/span>active<\/b>, <\/span>resilient<\/b>, and <\/span>persevering<\/b>:<\/span>

But he who endures to the end shall be saved.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

For we walk by faith, not by sight.\u201d<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span>

Jesus is asking: <\/span>Will He find believers who still trust in Him, obey Him, and wait for Him\u2014even when the world turns away?<\/p>\n

Many have stopped praying, stopped believing, and are no longer watching for Christ\u2019s return. <\/span><\/p>\n

But Jesus calls us to be like the persistent widow: <\/span>faithful, prayerful, and expectant<\/b>\u2014even when nothing seems to be happening.<\/span><\/p>\n
