This proverb teaches a profound spiritual truth: mercy not only blesses others, but also enriches the one who shows it. In biblical theology, mercy is more than just being nice\u2014it reflects the very nature of God.<\/p>\n

1. The Character of the Merciful Person<\/strong>
\nThe Hebrew word translated as “merciful” (chesed<\/em>) implies loyalty, kindness, and compassion. A merciful person is forgiving, patient, and slow to anger\u2014traits that mirror God\u2019s own nature (Exodus 34:6).<\/p>\n
