While the Bible does not give a detailed picture of all that will happen in heaven after the rapture, it does provide glimpses that help us understand what to expect.<\/span><\/p>\n<article class=\"text-token-text-primary w-full\" dir=\"auto\" data-testid=\"conversation-turn-8\" data-scroll-anchor=\"true\">\n<div class=\"text-base my-auto mx-auto py-5 [--thread-content-margin:--spacing(4)] @[37rem]:[--thread-content-margin:--spacing(6)] @[72rem]:[--thread-content-margin:--spacing(16)] px-(--thread-content-margin)\">\n<div class=\"[--thread-content-max-width:32rem] @[34rem]:[--thread-content-max-width:40rem] @[64rem]:[--thread-content-max-width:48rem] mx-auto flex max-w-(--thread-content-max-width) flex-1 text-base gap-4 md:gap-5 lg:gap-6 group\/turn-messages focus-visible:outline-hidden\" tabindex=\"-1\">\n<div class=\"group\/conversation-turn relative flex w-full min-w-0 flex-col agent-turn\">\n<div class=\"relative flex-col gap-1 md:gap-3\">\n<div class=\"flex max-w-full flex-col grow\">\n<div class=\"min-h-8 text-message relative flex w-full flex-col items-end gap-2 text-start break-words whitespace-normal [.text-message+&amp;]:mt-5\" dir=\"auto\" data-message-author-role=\"assistant\" data-message-id=\"22b98cc4-0300-4015-ba98-0027b6e5c0b2\" data-message-model-slug=\"gpt-4o\">\n<div class=\"flex w-full flex-col gap-1 empty:hidden first:pt-[3px]\">\n<div class=\"markdown prose dark:prose-invert w-full break-words light\">\n<h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"584\" data-end=\"627\">1. <strong data-start=\"591\" data-end=\"627\">Our Knowledge Is Partial\u2014for Now<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"629\" data-end=\"710\">The Apostle Paul reminds us that some spiritual truths remain mysterious for now:<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"712\" data-end=\"796\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"714\" data-end=\"796\"><strong data-start=\"714\" data-end=\"764\">\u201cFor we know in part and we prophesy in part.\u201d<\/strong><br data-start=\"764\" data-end=\"767\" \/><em data-start=\"769\" data-end=\"796\">(1 Corinthians 13:9, ESV)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"798\" data-end=\"1021\">This means God has not revealed everything about the life to come. But He has given us pieces\u2014hints through Scripture\u2014that point to certain realities, including the possibility of eating and drinking in the eternal kingdom.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"\" data-start=\"1023\" data-end=\"1026\" \/>\n<h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"1028\" data-end=\"1079\">2. <strong data-start=\"1035\" data-end=\"1079\">Jesus Spoke of Drinking in God\u2019s Kingdom<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1081\" data-end=\"1130\">During the Last Supper, Jesus told His disciples:<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"1132\" data-end=\"1290\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1134\" data-end=\"1290\"><strong data-start=\"1134\" data-end=\"1266\">\u201cTruly, I say to you, I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God.\u201d<\/strong><br data-start=\"1266\" data-end=\"1269\" \/><em data-start=\"1271\" data-end=\"1290\">(Mark 14:25, ESV)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1292\" data-end=\"1581\">This was not just a symbolic statement. Jesus was referring to a real event in the future\u2014the marriage supper of the Lamb (see Revelation 19:9). His words suggest that in the kingdom of God, there will be a celebratory meal involving real eating and drinking, not just spiritual symbolism.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"\" data-start=\"1583\" data-end=\"1586\" \/>\n<h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"1588\" data-end=\"1630\">3. <strong data-start=\"1595\" data-end=\"1630\">Jesus Ate in His Glorified Body<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1632\" data-end=\"1786\">After His resurrection, Jesus appeared to His disciples in a glorified body\u2014a body no longer subject to death, pain, or aging. In one encounter, He asked:<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"1788\" data-end=\"1928\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1790\" data-end=\"1928\"><strong data-start=\"1790\" data-end=\"1901\">\u201cHave you anything here to eat?\u201d They gave Him a piece of broiled fish, and He took it and ate before them.<\/strong><br data-start=\"1901\" data-end=\"1904\" \/><em data-start=\"1906\" data-end=\"1928\">(Luke 24:41\u201343, ESV)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1930\" data-end=\"2093\">Jesus didn\u2019t eat because He was hungry, but to show that His resurrection body was real and physical\u2014not just spiritual or ghost-like. This is significant because:<\/p>\n<hr class=\"\" data-start=\"2095\" data-end=\"2098\" \/>\n<h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"2100\" data-end=\"2153\">4. <strong data-start=\"2107\" data-end=\"2153\">We Will Be Like Christ in the Resurrection<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2155\" data-end=\"2167\">John writes:<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"2169\" data-end=\"2369\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2171\" data-end=\"2369\"><strong data-start=\"2171\" data-end=\"2345\">\u201cBeloved, we are God\u2019s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when He appears, we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him as He is.\u201d<\/strong><br data-start=\"2345\" data-end=\"2348\" \/><em data-start=\"2350\" data-end=\"2369\">(1 John 3:2, ESV)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2371\" data-end=\"2519\">This tells us that our resurrected, glorified bodies will be like Jesus\u2019 body. If His glorified body could eat, ours will likely be able to as well.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"\" data-start=\"2521\" data-end=\"2524\" \/>\n<h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"2526\" data-end=\"2576\">5. <strong data-start=\"2533\" data-end=\"2576\">Eating Is Not a Result of Sinful Nature<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2578\" data-end=\"2782\">It&#8217;s important to remember that eating is not inherently sinful or earthly. In fact, God designed it before the fall. Adam and Eve, in their original, perfect state in Eden, were instructed to eat freely:<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"2784\" data-end=\"2865\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2786\" data-end=\"2865\"><strong data-start=\"2786\" data-end=\"2839\">\u201cYou may surely eat of every tree of the garden.\u201d<\/strong><br data-start=\"2839\" data-end=\"2842\" \/><em data-start=\"2844\" data-end=\"2865\">(Genesis 2:16, ESV)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2867\" data-end=\"3028\">This shows that even in a perfect, sinless condition, eating was part of human life. So the act of eating is not tied to corruption but to God\u2019s original design.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"\" data-start=\"3030\" data-end=\"3033\" \/>\n<h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"3035\" data-end=\"3077\">6. <strong data-start=\"3042\" data-end=\"3077\">The Marriage Supper of the Lamb<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"3079\" data-end=\"3156\">Revelation gives us a glimpse into the future celebration awaiting believers:<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"3158\" data-end=\"3264\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"3160\" data-end=\"3264\"><strong data-start=\"3160\" data-end=\"3235\">\u201cBlessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.\u201d<\/strong><br data-start=\"3235\" data-end=\"3238\" \/><em data-start=\"3240\" data-end=\"3264\">(Revelation 19:9, ESV)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"3266\" data-end=\"3485\">This event isn\u2019t likely to be a symbolic \u201cmeal\u201d only. Given all the previous evidence\u2014from Jesus\u2019 words, His resurrected body, and the Edenic pattern\u2014this is most likely a real feast, full of joy and communion with God.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"\" data-start=\"3487\" data-end=\"3490\" \/>\n<h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"3492\" data-end=\"3545\"><strong data-start=\"3496\" data-end=\"3545\">Conclusion: What We Know and What We Hope For<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"3547\" data-end=\"3813\">While the Bible doesn\u2019t give us every detail, it\u2019s clear that eating and drinking will not be excluded from heavenly life.
