\u201cBehold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.\u201d<\/em>
\n\u2014 Revelation 3:20, NKJV<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Blessed be the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Welcome to this time of reflection on God\u2019s Word.<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. The Exclusivity of Christ as the Way to Life<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Bible teaches that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ.<\/strong> He is not one of many ways to God\u2014He is the only way.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cNor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.\u201d<\/em>
\n\u2014 Acts 4:12, NKJV<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

As the Apostle Paul reminds us:<\/p>\n

\u201cFor as by one man\u2019s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man\u2019s obedience many will be made righteous.\u201d<\/em>
\n\u2014 Romans 5:19, NKJV<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Through Adam came sin and death; through Christ comes righteousness and life. Jesus Himself declared:<\/p>\n

\u201cI am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.\u201d<\/em>
\n\u2014 John 14:6, NKJV<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Any path outside of Christ\u2014no matter how morally appealing or widely accepted\u2014is a path of deception and eternal loss.<\/p>\n

\n

2. Jesus Uses Parables to Reveal God\u2019s Kingdom<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Throughout His ministry, Jesus used everyday imagery\u2014trees, seeds, farmers, merchants, kings\u2014to teach profound spiritual truths:<\/p>\n

\u201cAll these things Jesus spoke to the multitude in parables… that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying: ‘I will open My mouth in parables; I will utter things kept secret from the foundation of the world.\u2019\u201d<\/em>
\n\u2014 Matthew 13:34\u201335, NKJV<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

John concludes his Gospel by reminding us that much of what Jesus did was never recorded:<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books…\u201d<\/em>
\n\u2014 John 21:25, NKJV<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

One of the most intimate images He gives is that of knocking at the door of our hearts in Revelation 3:20<\/strong>, addressing the lukewarm church of Laodicea<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\n

3. The Nature of Christ\u2019s Invitation<\/strong><\/h3>\n

When Jesus says \u201cI stand at the door and knock,\u201d<\/em> He is expressing a personal and persistent call<\/strong>. This is not the Second Coming, which will be sudden and unannounced, like a thief in the night (Matthew 24:43\u201344). Rather, this is His daily approach to our individual hearts<\/strong>, desiring fellowship.<\/p>\n

The language implies evening time<\/strong>\u2014a spiritual metaphor for the last hour, the final opportunity before night falls:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness…\u201d<\/em>
\n\u2014 Romans 13:12, NKJV<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The supper He refers to (Revelation 3:20) echoes the Lord\u2019s Supper<\/strong>, a symbol of communion and shared life. He brings spiritual nourishment\u2014His Word, His Spirit, His peace. We, in return, offer Him our surrendered lives.<\/p>\n

\u201cBlessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching. Assuredly, I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down to eat, and will come and serve them.\u201d<\/em>
\n\u2014 Luke 12:37, NKJV<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\n

4. Responding to His Knock<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Christ does not force entry. He knocks. He waits. He speaks. But the door must be opened from the inside. This illustrates free will<\/strong> and personal responsibility<\/strong> in salvation:<\/p>\n

\u201cToday, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts…\u201d<\/em>
\n\u2014 Hebrews 3:15, NKJV<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Some will not hear because they are spiritually asleep, distracted by the noise of the world (1 Thessalonians 5:6). Others hear but deliberately ignore Him.<\/p>\n

Jesus warns that if we reject Him knowingly and repeatedly, He may eventually stop knocking. This echoes His rebuke to Jerusalem:<\/p>\n

\u201cO Jerusalem, Jerusalem… How often I wanted to gather your children together… but you were not willing! See! Your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, \u2018Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!\u2019\u201d<\/em>
\n\u2014 Matthew 23:37\u201339, NKJV<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This is one of the most sobering statements in Scripture: \u201cYou shall see Me no more.\u201d<\/em> The finality of divine rejection is terrifying.<\/p>\n

\n

5. The Danger of Delay<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Many assume they\u2019ll respond to God \u201clater\u201d\u2014in old age, or after they\u2019ve enjoyed the pleasures of the world. But Scripture warns that we do not control tomorrow:<\/p>\n

\u201cDo not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth.\u201d<\/em>
\n\u2014 Proverbs 27:1, NKJV<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The longer we delay, the more hardened our hearts can become (Hebrews 3:13). The very ability to hear His voice is grace\u2014and that grace doesn\u2019t last forever.<\/p>\n

\n

6. Open the Door While You Still Can<\/strong><\/h3>\n

If today you feel a stirring in your heart, that\u2019s not coincidence\u2014it\u2019s the Spirit of God knocking. Don\u2019t ignore it. Repent, believe, and surrender your life to Jesus.<\/p>\n

\u201cSeek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near.\u201d<\/em>
\n\u2014 Isaiah 55:6, NKJV<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Open the door. He will not condemn you for taking long. He will come in, dine with you, restore you, and fill you with peace and purpose. He brings blessings for both body and soul, and a new hope for this life and eternity.<\/p>\n

But if you continue to ignore Him, the next time He comes may be not as a guest\u2014but as a thief in the night, to take His own and leave the rest to face judgment.<\/p>\n

\u201cWatch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.\u201d<\/em>
\n\u2014 Matthew 24:42, NKJV<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Conclusion: The Choice Is Yours<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Jesus is at the door. He is knocking. Not with force, but with love. With patience, but also urgency. Will you open your heart today?<\/p>\n

\u201cBehold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.\u201d<\/em>
\n\u2014 2 Corinthians 6:2, NKJV<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Respond now. Invite Him in. Let Him change your life.<\/strong>
