Let\u2019s pause and reflect on a powerful truth: <\/span>God never abandons those who truly seek Him.<\/strong> He loves when people desire to know Him more. If you are pursuing Him with sincerity, you can be sure that He is already drawing near to you. He walks with you, stays beside you, and leads you \u2014 because that\u2019s His promise.<\/span><\/p>\n

In Psalm 9:10<\/em>, King David declares,<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cThose who know Your name trust in You, for You, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek You.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

This is not just poetic language \u2014 it\u2019s a theological truth rooted in God’s character. God is faithful (2 Timothy 2:13<\/em>) and keeps His promises. When someone comes to Him in humility and repentance, He receives them without hesitation.<\/p>\n

God is not like people.<\/strong> Humans can be quick to judge or abandon one another, especially when there’s hurt, disappointment, or no personal benefit. But God is different. He does not focus on your past sins, your spiritual weaknesses, or how immature you may feel. He doesn’t require you to have everything together before you come to Him. His grace is freely offered \u2014 not earned.<\/p>\n

In Isaiah 1:18<\/em>, God invites us,<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cCome now, let us settle the matter. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow…\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

No matter how badly you’ve messed up, God invites you to return to Him. And when you do, He won\u2019t shame you \u2014 He will restore you.<\/p>\n

Satan will try to stop you.<\/strong> He\u2019ll remind you of your past and tell you that God won\u2019t listen to someone like you. He wants you to believe that you’re too dirty, too sinful, too far gone to matter to God. But Jesus clearly refutes this in John 6:37<\/em>,<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cAll those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

This verse tells us that everyone<\/strong> who comes to Jesus is accepted. No one is turned away. The decision to follow Christ is the only step required for full acceptance.<\/p>\n

If you ever feel like you’re not worthy, remember this: God created you in His image<\/strong> (Genesis 1:27<\/em>). That alone gives you value. If you had no worth in God\u2019s eyes, He would not have made you at all \u2014 let alone in His own likeness.<\/p>\n

So what\u2019s the right response if you want to seek God?<\/p>\n

1. Repentance<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The first step is to turn away from sin \u2014 not just in words, but from the heart. True repentance means a willingness to leave behind your old ways and walk toward God’s will.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cRepent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out…\u201d<\/em> \u2014 Acts 3:19<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

2. Baptism<\/strong><\/h3>\n

If <\/span>you\u2019ve <\/span>never <\/span>been <\/span>baptized <\/span>according <\/span>to <\/span>Scripture \u2014 <\/span>by <\/span>full <\/span>immersion <\/span>in <\/span>water <\/span>in <\/span>the <\/span>name <\/span>of <\/span>Jesus \u2014 <\/span>that\u2019s <\/span>the <\/span>next <\/span>step. <\/span>This <\/span>is <\/span>how <\/span>the <\/span>early <\/span>church <\/span>practiced <\/span>baptism\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cRepent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins…\u201d<\/em> \u2014 Acts 2:38<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

3. Grow in the Word and Fellowship<\/strong><\/h3>\n

After repentance and baptism, pursue a lifestyle of studying God\u2019s Word, praying, worshiping, and connecting with other believers.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cLike newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation.\u201d<\/em> \u2014 1 Peter 2:2<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

When you seek God with a sincere heart, He will reveal Himself to you.<\/strong> Not maybe \u2014 He will. That\u2019s His promise, and God never breaks His Word (Numbers 23:19<\/em>).<\/p>\n

So be encouraged. Whether this is your first time seeking Him or you\u2019re starting over again \u2014 know this:
The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth.<\/strong>
\u2014 Psalm 145:18<\/em><\/p>\n

Keep seeking Him. He\u2019s already waiting for you.<\/p>\n
