“Wine is a mocker, strong drink is a brawler, and whoever is led astray by it is not wise.\u201d<\/em> \u2013 <\/span>Proverbs 20:1<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

This verse is a warning against the dangers of intoxicating drink. It speaks to the moral and spiritual consequences<\/strong> of allowing alcohol to control one\u2019s behavior. In biblical theology, wisdom<\/strong> is not merely about knowledge it is about living in reverence to God (Proverbs 1:7). Thus, anyone misled by alcohol is acting against godly wisdom.<\/p>\n

The word \u201cbrawler\u201d (\u05d4\u05b9\u05de\u05b6\u05d4\u00a0 \u00a0h\u014dmeh<\/em>) suggests loud, aggressive, or violent behavior<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Drunkenness often leads to conflict. Quarrels, violence, and broken relationships are common consequences of alcohol abuse.<\/p>\n
