If you consider yourself a servant of God, it\u2019s essential to ask: Are you truly doing the will of the Lord Jesus?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Why?<\/strong> Because pleasing God depends on understanding and living out His will. Jesus said clearly:<\/p>\n

John 6:37-40 (ESV):<\/strong>
\n\u201cAll that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out.
\nFor I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me.
\nAnd this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day.
\nFor this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Here, Jesus teaches the doctrine of eternal security<\/em> or perseverance of the saints <\/em>those truly given to Him by the Father will be kept safe and raised on the last day. It reflects God\u2019s sovereign grace in salvation (see also Romans 8:29-30).<\/p>\n

In practice, this means two key missions for every believer and servant of God:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Lead others to Jesus<\/strong> so they can believe and receive eternal life.<\/li>\n
  2. Care for believers<\/strong> so that none of them fall away or lose their salvation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Jesus modeled this mission, and the Father confirmed His work was pleasing (see John 5:30).<\/p>\n

    Bearing Lasting Fruit<\/h3>\n

    John 15:16 (NIV):<\/strong>
    \n\u201cYou did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit fruit that will last and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

    Fruit that \u201cremains\u201d means genuine spiritual growth and lasting transformation, not temporary or shallow faith. This ties into sanctification <\/em>the ongoing work of God to make believers holy (Philippians 1:6).<\/p>\n

    Jesus also instructed Peter:<\/p>\n

    John 21:15-17 (ESV):<\/strong>
    \n\u201cFeed my lambs\u2026 Tend my sheep\u2026\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

    This demonstrates pastoral care, requiring both nourishing<\/em> (teaching, encouraging) and guarding<\/em> (protecting believers from falling away).<\/p>\n

    Perseverance and Growth in the Church<\/h3>\n

    Acts 15:36-41<\/strong> shows Paul revisiting churches he planted to strengthen believers, proving that evangelism must be paired with discipleship.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

    Ask yourself:<\/p>\n
