Praise be to the glorious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the King of kings and Lord of lords! Welcome as we study the Word of God together.<\/p>\n

Have you ever truly considered what it means to be born again through the Word of God<\/em>?<\/p>\n

There is a form of “being born again” that stems merely from emotional persuasion or human ideas. But there is also a genuine, spiritual rebirth that comes through the living and enduring Word of God<\/em>.<\/p>\n

What Did Jesus Teach About Being Born Again?<\/h3>\n

In John 3:3<\/strong>, Jesus said:<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cMost assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.\u201d
(John 3:3, NKJV)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Nicodemus, a religious teacher, was confused by this statement:<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cHow can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?\u201d
(John 3:4, NKJV)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Then Jesus clarified:<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cMost assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.\u201d
(John 3:5, NKJV)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

What Does It Mean to Be Born of Water and the Spirit?<\/h3>\n

This new birth Jesus speaks of involves two vital elements:<\/p>\n

  1. \n

    Being born of water<\/strong> \u2013 This refers to baptism in water<\/strong>, which symbolizes repentance and the washing away of sins through faith in Christ (see Acts 2:38; Romans 6:3\u20134).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  2. \n

    Being born of the Spirit<\/strong> \u2013 This refers to receiving the Holy Spirit<\/strong>, who regenerates the heart, brings about true transformation, and produces spiritual fruit (Titus 3:5; Galatians 5:22\u201323).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Therefore, to be born again through the Word of God means you believe the gospel, respond with obedience through water baptism, and receive the Holy Spirit. The Word of God is what reveals this pathway to salvation and transformation.<\/p>\n

    Why Is This New Birth So Important?<\/h3>\n

    When you are truly born again according to the Word of God, your salvation becomes secure and enduring. It is no longer a shallow or wavering experience. This is because God\u2019s Word is incorruptible and eternal<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    \n

    \u201cHaving been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever.\u201d
    (1 Peter 1:23, NKJV)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

    Sadly, many today claim to be saved, yet fall back into their old life shortly after their confession of faith. They may attend church and be around believers, but something is missing\u2014a true spiritual birth<\/em>. Why?<\/p>\n

    It is possible they were never born again through the Word of God. Maybe they believed in Jesus but were told that baptism wasn’t necessary. Maybe they never received the Holy Spirit. As a result, the seed planted in them was not the incorruptible seed of the Word<\/strong>, but something fragile and easily uprooted.<\/p>\n
