The word <\/span>\u201cconcerning\u201d<\/strong> or <\/span>\u201cabout\u201d<\/strong> .<\/strong>\u00a0For example, if you want to say, <\/span>\u201cI don\u2019t know anything about the second coming of Christ,\u201d<\/em> you could say, <\/span>\u201cI don\u2019t know anything concerning<\/strong>\u00a0the second coming of Christ.\u201d<\/em> So, concerning<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0simply means <\/span>\u201cabout\u201d<\/strong> or <\/span>\u201cregarding.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Interestingly, this specific word appears only twice in the entire Bible, both times in the book of Psalms.<\/p>\n

Psalm 17:4\u20135<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Concerning the works of men,
\nBy the word of Your lips I have kept myself from the paths of the destroyer.
\nMy steps have held fast to Your paths,
\nMy feet have not slipped.”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This passage expresses a believer\u2019s commitment to live a holy and righteous life by God’s guidance. \u201cConcerning the works of men\u201d shows an awareness and careful separation from sinful ways, emphasizing personal holiness as commanded throughout Scripture (see 1 Peter 1:15-16).<\/p>\n

“Yes, of Zion it shall be said,
\n\u2018This one and that one were born in her\u2019;
\nAnd the Most High Himself shall establish her.
\nThe Lord will count when He registers the peoples,

Here, \u201cconcerning Zion\u201d speaks about God\u2019s special relationship with His people and the establishment of His kingdom. Zion symbolizes the community of the faithful, a theme echoed in Hebrews 12:22-24, where Zion represents the heavenly Jerusalem.<\/p>\n

Knowing what \u201cconcerning<\/strong>\u201d means helps us understand how the Bible communicates about important subjects.
