\u201cYour word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.\u201d<\/strong> Psalm 119:105 (ESV)<\/em><\/p>\n Praise be to the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Welcome as we explore the living Word of God, the Bible our divine guide through life and into eternity. Scripture is not merely words on a page; it is the voice of the living God, speaking to every generation.<\/p>\n Since the beginning, Satan has sown lies to distort the character of God. One of the most destructive lies is the idea that God does not forgive, or that He is too angry to love us<\/strong>. This is a lie designed to push people away from the hope of redemption.<\/p>\n Satan knows that if a person truly believes that God is willing to forgive sin, then they will run to Him and he will lose control over them. That\u2019s why the enemy works tirelessly to make people believe that their sins are too great, too many, or too repeated to be forgiven.<\/p>\n But the Bible tells us otherwise.<\/p>\n Forgiveness is not something God does reluctantly it is at the core of who He is<\/strong>. He is a merciful and gracious God who delights in restoring broken people. His forgiveness is full, free, and undeserved. It is grace<\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u201cWho is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over transgression… He does not retain His anger forever, because He delights in steadfast love.\u201d This grace is shocking and powerful. What truly makes God awe inspiring is not just His acts of power and miracles, but His willingness to forgive sin and completely remove it from the life of the sinner.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cIf you, O LORD, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? Notice the connection here: \u201cso that You may be feared.\u201d<\/strong> It\u2019s not God\u2019s wrath that drives our reverence; it\u2019s His astonishing mercy.<\/p>\n You might be thinking, \u201cBut I\u2019ve sinned too much. What I\u2019ve done is unforgivable.\u201d<\/em>Have you committed murder?<\/span>Have you repeatedly fallen into the same sexual sin?<\/span>Have you harbored hatred, bitterness, or blasphemy?<\/span><\/p>\n There is still forgiveness.<\/strong> The Apostle Paul was a murderer of Christians, yet God not only forgave him but made him one of the greatest apostles (Acts 9:1\u201322).<\/p>\n The only sin that remains unforgiven is the refusal to accept God\u2019s forgiveness<\/strong>. Jesus said:<\/p>\n \u201cTruly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the children of man, and whatever blasphemies they utter, This “blasphemy against the Holy Spirit” is the persistent, willful rejection of the Spirit’s witness about Christ. It is not an accidental sin it is a hardened heart that refuses to repent.<\/p>\n To receive God’s forgiveness, Scripture consistently teaches two things:Repentance<\/strong>\u00a0 Turning away from sin with a sincere heart.<\/span>Faith in Jesus Christ<\/strong>\u00a0 Believing that He died and rose again to take away your sin.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIf we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.\u201d And that faith is not just an internal belief. It is expressed outwardly through baptism<\/strong>, which symbolizes dying to sin and rising in new life with Christ.<\/p>\n Forgiveness is not just about being \u201clet off the hook.\u201d It’s about being transformed<\/strong>. The cycle of sin can be broken. Many Christians struggle with repetitive sin because they have never had the root of sin removed. That\u2019s where baptism in Jesus’ name becomes not just symbolic, but powerful.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd Peter said to them, \u2018Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.\u2019\u201d Here, Peter gives the full Gospel response: Repent, be baptized, receive forgiveness, and receive the Holy Spirit.<\/strong><\/p>\n This is the biblical model. Baptism by immersion represents burial of the old self (Romans 6:3\u20134), and the Holy Spirit enables us to walk in holiness. God doesn\u2019t just forgive youHe empowers you to live a new life.<\/strong><\/p>\n If you\u2019ve never repented or been baptized according to the Word of God, the invitation is open today.Repent<\/strong>\u00a0 Truly turn from your sins with the intention to follow Christ.<\/span>Be baptized<\/strong>\u00a0 In water, by full immersion, in the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 10:48; Acts 22:16).<\/span>Believe by faith<\/strong>\u00a0 That you are fully forgiven, even before you \u201cfeel\u201d it.<\/span>Receive the Holy Spirit<\/strong>\u00a0 Who empowers you to live a holy life and seals your salvation (Ephesians 1:13\u201314).<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cFor we walk by faith, not by sight.\u201d Don’t let shame or fear keep you from the grace of God. Nothing you’ve done is beyond the reach of Christ’s blood.<\/strong> Come to Him today, repent with sincerity, and obey His Word.
