The word <\/span>\u201cEternal\u201d<\/em> means without beginning or end\u2014always existing.<\/span><\/p>\n

When we say Jesus is the Son of the Eternal God, we mean that Jesus is God\u2019s Son who has no beginning; He has always existed. This truth is central to Christian faith and shows that Jesus is fully divine.<\/p>\n

You will often hear this expressed in the Nicene Creed<\/em>, a foundational Christian statement of faith developed by church leaders at the Council of Nicaea in 325 AD. The Creed was written to clearly express who Jesus is, and unify Christians worldwide.<\/p>\n

The Nicene Creed says:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe believe in one God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible.
\nWe believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God;
\nbegotten, not made, of one being with the Father. Through him all things were made.
\nFor us and for our salvation he came down from heaven, was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the virgin Mary, and became man.
\nHe was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate; he suffered and was buried.
\nOn the third day he rose again, in accordance with the Scriptures;
\nhe ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
\nHe will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Is Jesus really the Son of the Eternal God?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yes. The Bible clearly teaches that Jesus has no beginning and no end. Hebrews 7:3 says of Jesus:<\/p>\n

\u201cHe is without father or mother or genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but resembling the Son of God, he continues a priest forever.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This means Jesus is eternal, unlike any human being.<\/p>\n

Jesus is God Himself in human form (John 1:1,14)<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Jesus is not a created being but is fully divine and equal with the Father (John 10:30):<\/p>\n

\u201cI and the Father are one.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Christianity teaches that God is one in essence but exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son (Jesus), and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19). This is not three gods, but one God in three distinct persons.<\/p>\n

Jesus came to earth to reveal God to us and to save us, showing us how to live as true children of God (John 14:6):<\/p>\n

\u201cI am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
