Shalom, and welcome to this time in God\u2019s Word.<\/strong><\/p>\n

God\u2019s Loving Warnings Before Judgment<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Throughout Scripture, we see that God, in His mercy, does not allow His children to stumble into destruction without warning<\/strong>. He often provides signs, nudges, or direct words to alert us when we\u2019re heading in the wrong direction. These warnings may not always come through grand visions or prophetic voices. Sometimes, God uses the simplest, most unexpected things<\/strong> to speak to us. And if we’re not spiritually sensitive, we might miss His voice entirely.<\/p>\n

\u201cSurely the Lord GOD does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.\u201d<\/strong>
\nAmos 3:7, NKJV<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Yet, God can reveal His will not just through prophets, but through creation, conscience, circumstances and sometimes, even animals.<\/p>\n

\n

Example 1: Balaam and the Donkey\u00a0 God Speaks Through the Unexpected<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In Numbers 22:21\u201335<\/strong>, we meet Balaam, a man summoned to curse Israel. Though God had initially told him not to go (Numbers 22:12), Balaam later insisted and was granted permission under conditions. But as he journeyed, his motives were clearly out of line with God’s will.<\/p>\n

To warn Balaam, God used his donkey to halt him three times <\/strong>each time as an angel of the Lord stood in the way<\/strong> with a drawn sword.<\/p>\n

\u201cThen the Lord opened the donkey\u2019s mouth, and it said to Balaam, \u2018What have I done to you to make you beat me these three times?\u2019\u201d<\/em>
\nNumbers 22:28, NIV<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

It wasn\u2019t until the Lord opened Balaam\u2019s eyes<\/strong> that he saw the angel and realized the seriousness of his disobedience (v. 31). This encounter teaches us that God can use even animals or inanimate means to arrest our attention<\/strong> when we are heading down a destructive path.<\/p>\n

\n

Example 2: Peter and the Rooster\u00a0 God Warns with Perfect Timing<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Peter, Jesus\u2019 close disciple, boldly declared that he would never deny Jesus (Mark 14:29). But Jesus, knowing human frailty, predicted otherwise.<\/p>\n

\u201cTruly, I tell you, this very night, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times.\u201d<\/em>
\nMark 14:30, ESV<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And just as Jesus had said, Peter denied Him not once, but three times. After the first denial, the rooster crowed<\/strong> (Mark 14:68). It was God\u2019s first warning<\/strong>, but Peter didn\u2019t understand it. He continued to deny Christ two more times. Then:<\/p>\n

\u201cImmediately the rooster crowed a second time. And Peter remembered how Jesus had said to him\u2026 And he broke down and wept.\u201d<\/em>
\nMark 14:72, ESV<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Luke\u2019s Gospel adds a beautiful and piercing detail:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Lord turned and looked at Peter. And Peter remembered the saying of the Lord… And he went out and wept bitterly.\u201d<\/em>
\nLuke 22:61\u201362, ESV<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

That look from Jesus<\/strong> was not one of condemnation but of compassion. It triggered Peter\u2019s repentance. Theologically, this moment shows that God\u2019s grace reaches out even while we fail <\/strong>offering us a chance to turn back.<\/p>\n

\n

God’s Methods Are Not Bound by Human Expectations<\/strong><\/h3>\n

We often expect God to speak through great preachers, supernatural dreams, or profound revelations. While He does use those, He is not limited to them<\/strong>. Scripture is filled with examples of God using the humble, the weak, and the unexpected to convey His will:<\/p>\n
