A Message on Guarding Your Blessings and Walking in Obedience<\/h3>\n
\n

1. The Reality of Spiritual Warfare<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Christian life is a spiritual battle. The Bible clearly warns us that our adversary, the devil, is actively seeking to destroy God\u2019s people.<\/p>\n

“Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”<\/strong>
\n1 Peter 5:8, NIV<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Satan is constantly seeking to derail believers not merely through temptation, but by using subtle strategies to rob them of their blessings, disrupt their destiny, and cause them to fall out of alignment with God\u2019s will.<\/p>\n

\n

2. Satan\u2019s Strategy: Not Always Witchcraft, But Separation from God<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Contrary to popular belief, Satan doesn’t always use witches or sorcery to steal our blessings. Many waste time rebuking external enemies while overlooking the real battleground: our obedience and intimacy with God<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

“There is no divination against Jacob, no evil omens against Israel.”<\/strong>
\nNumbers 23:23, NIV<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

God\u2019s promises to His people are secure. No curse or spell<\/strong> can cancel what God has declared. However, Satan can cause you to forfeit your blessings <\/strong>not by overpowering God, but by seducing you away from Him.<\/p>\n

When believers fall into sin or pride, trusting in their own righteousness instead of daily surrendering to God, they step outside the realm of God\u2019s protective favor. It\u2019s in that vulnerable state that the enemy gains access.<\/p>\n

\n

3. God Can Revoke Promises When We Turn Back<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Yes, God can cancel promises made to an individual if they abandon the path of righteousness<\/strong>. His blessings are conditional on continued obedience<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I say to the righteous that he shall surely live, yet he trusts in his righteousness and does injustice, none of his righteous deeds shall be remembered; but in his injustice that he has done he shall die.\u201d<\/strong>
\nEzekiel 33:13, ESV<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This passage makes it clear: past righteousness does not guarantee future favor<\/strong>. If we begin to trust in our history with God while living in sin today, we disqualify ourselves from receiving what was once promised.<\/p>\n

\n

4.Revoked Blessings<\/strong><\/h3>\n

a. King Saul<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Saul was chosen and anointed by God to be king (1 Samuel 10:1). Yet, due to his disobedience<\/strong>, God rejected him.<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause you have rejected the word of the Lord, he has rejected you as king.\u201d<\/strong>
\n1 Samuel 15:23, NIV<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The kingdom, which was promised to Saul and his lineage, was taken away and given to David.<\/p>\n

b. The Israelites in the Wilderness<\/strong><\/h3>\n

God promised to bring the Israelites into the Promised Land (Exodus 3:17), yet because of their rebellion and unbelief, an entire generation perished in the wilderness<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot one of you will enter the land I swore with uplifted hand to make your home, except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.\u201d<\/strong>

\n

5. The Real Danger: Spiritual Complacency<\/strong><\/h3>\n

When we start relying on our past faithfulness, rather than actively walking in obedience today, we give Satan room to work. The enemy’s goal is not always to curse us but to cool our passion, cause us to compromise, and gradually draw us away from God.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don\u2019t fall!\u201d<\/strong>
\n1 Corinthians 10:12, NIV<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\n

6. A Call to Genuine Repentance and Restoration<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Even if you\u2019ve fallen or forfeited a promise, hope is not lost<\/strong>. God, in His mercy, allows restoration for those who genuinely repent and return to Him.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut if a wicked person turns away from all the sins they have committed and keeps all my decrees and does what is just and right, that person will surely live; they will not die.\u201d<\/strong>
\nEzekiel 18:21, NIV<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\u201cNone of the offenses they have committed will be remembered against them.\u201d<\/strong>
\nEzekiel 33:16, NIV<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Repentance must be genuine <\/strong>not just seeking blessings, but seeking to be reconciled with a holy God. That includes:<\/p>\n
