This life is shared by all living creatures\u2014humans, animals, and plants. It is the life of the <\/span><strong style=\"font-size: revert; color: initial;\">body<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: revert; color: initial;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Bible confirms this natural life:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThe righteous care for the life\u00a0of their animals, but the compassion of the wicked is cruel.\u201d<br \/>\n\u2014 Proverbs 12:10<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This <i>Life <\/i>is the biological life God has given to living beings. It is necessary for survival, but it is temporary and limited to this earthly existence.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>What is <i>Life<\/i>? The Spiritual and Eternal Life<\/h3>\n<p>The Bible reveals a deeper kind of life called <strong>\u201cEternal Life\u201d<\/strong>, which is best understood as <strong>eternal life<\/strong> or <strong>spiritual life<\/strong>. This life is not merely physical existence but a <strong>quality of life that comes from knowing God personally through Jesus Christ<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThe thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.\u201d<br \/>\n\u2014 John 10:10<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Here, Jesus contrasts the natural life with the abundant life that He gives\u2014a life characterized by fullness, joy, and eternal significance.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Body vs. Spirit<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Life refers to the <strong>physical life<\/strong> of the body, shared with all living creatures (Genesis 2:7; Psalm 104:29-30). Plants and animals have life but <strong>do not have eternal life<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Eternal life refers to <strong>spiritual life<\/strong>, the life of the soul that continues forever and is found only in a restored relationship with God through Jesus Christ.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cNow this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.\u201d<br \/>\n\u2014 John 17:3<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This verse defines eternal life not just as endless existence but as <strong>knowing God personally<\/strong>, emphasizing the relational aspect of Eternal life.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Why Does This Matter?<\/h3>\n<p>Anyone outside of Christ has physical life but lacks eternal life. They are alive in the body but spiritually dead (Ephesians 2:1).<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cAnd you were dead in the trespasses and sins\u2026\u201d<br \/>\n\u2014 Ephesians 2:1<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Those who receive Christ are given eternal life, which transcends physical death.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWhoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.\u201d<br \/>\n\u2014 John 3:36<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Do you have eternal life in you?<\/strong><br \/>\nIs Jesus Christ truly a part of your life, or are you only alive physically?<\/p>\n<p>Without Christ, life is limited to this world and ends with death.
