(A Perspective on Offerings and Giving)<\/em><\/p>\n

Purpose of This Message<\/strong><\/h3>\n

This teaching is not designed to pressure or manipulate anyone into giving. Instead, it aims to present sound, biblical understanding<\/strong> of the spiritual benefits<\/strong> that come from giving to God\u2014regardless of the form (money, resources, time, or talent).<\/p>\n

Giving is not a responsibility limited to church members. It applies to everyone<\/strong>\u2014pastors, evangelists, bishops, apostles, elders, choir members, and all believers. Every follower of Christ is called to participate in the grace of giving, because it is both an act of worship<\/strong> and an expression of God’s character<\/strong> in us.<\/p>\n

As it is written:<\/p>\n

Isaiah 48:17\u00a0<\/strong>
\n\u201cThis is what the Lord says\u2014your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: \u2018I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.\u2019\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

God teaches us to give not just for the benefit of others, but for our spiritual growth<\/strong>, blessing<\/strong>, and the increase of thanksgiving to His name.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Giving Produces More Than Provision \u2014 It Brings Glory to God<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In his letter to the Corinthians, the Apostle Paul reveals a profound truth about giving:<\/p>\n

2 Corinthians 9:11\u201312<\/strong>
\n\u201cYou will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.
\nThis service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord\u2019s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This scripture outlines two levels of impact<\/strong> when we give:<\/p>\n

  1. Practical Impact<\/strong> \u2013 Our gifts meet real needs (food, shelter, ministry support).<\/li>\n
  2. Spiritual Impact<\/strong> \u2013 Our gifts inspire others to give thanks to God<\/strong>, which glorifies Him.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Our giving becomes an act of doxology<\/strong>\u2014a word that means giving praise and glory to God. It reflects God\u2019s own generosity (cf. John 3:16) and leads others into worship.<\/p>\n

    The ultimate purpose of all Christian acts<\/strong>, including giving, is to bring glory to God<\/strong> (1 Corinthians 10:31).<\/p>\n

    Thanksgiving: The Fruit God Desires Most<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    You might think that thanksgiving is a small thing. But biblically, thanksgiving is central to spiritual life<\/strong>. It acknowledges God’s goodness, deepens faith, and aligns our hearts with heaven.<\/p>\n

    Psalm 50:23\u00a0<\/strong>
    \n\u201cThose who sacrifice thank offerings honor me, and to the blameless I will show my salvation.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

    God honors those who honor Him through thanksgiving. And when your giving causes others<\/strong> to thank God, you are participating in that sacred offering.<\/p>\n
