And make no mistake\u2014sin pays its workers.<\/strong><\/p>\n But what does it pay?<\/p>\n Romans 6:23 (NKJV)<\/strong> \u2013 \u201cFor the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n This means sin isn\u2019t just disobedience\u2014it\u2019s employment<\/strong> under a killer boss. And your salary isn\u2019t just trouble\u2026 it\u2019s spiritual death<\/strong>, relational death<\/strong>, and ultimately eternal separation from God.<\/strong><\/p>\n The Bible emphasizes that every laborer deserves to be paid:<\/p>\n Luke 10:7 (NKJV)<\/strong> \u2013 \u201cThe laborer is worthy of his wages.\u201d<\/em> So sin makes sure to pay you what you deserve. But its payment is destruction<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Sin isn\u2019t just a mistake\u2014it\u2019s a spiritual disease. It corrupts and kills everything it touches:<\/p>\n \u2705 It kills the love<\/strong> in your heart Isaiah 59:2 (NKJV)<\/strong> \u2013 \u201cBut your iniquities have separated you from your God; and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n That word “separated”<\/strong> implies spiritual death<\/strong>\u2014a complete disconnection from the presence and favor of God.<\/p>\n Jesus Christ is calling you out of slavery and into freedom. Unlike sin, He does not enslave\u2014He sets free.<\/strong><\/p>\n Matthew 11:28-30 (NKJV)<\/strong> \u2013 \u201cCome to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me… For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n John 8:36 (NKJV)<\/strong> \u2013 \u201cTherefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n When you surrender to Jesus, He becomes your Savior, not your slave driver<\/strong>.
