Have you ever asked yourself: <\/span>\u201cWill I be among those who sit with Abraham in the Kingdom of God?\u201d<\/strong> This is not just a hopeful thought; it\u2019s a reality promised in Scripture. But who qualifies to sit at that table? It\u2019s not about your background, title, or how long you\u2019ve been in church. <\/span>The key is faith\u2014genuine, Abraham-like faith<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

1. What Does It Mean to Be a Child of Abraham?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Being a child of Abraham means sharing in the faith<\/strong> that defined his relationship with God. God didn\u2019t choose Abraham because he was perfect or strong\u2014He chose him because Abraham believed<\/strong> (Genesis 15:6 NKJV):<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cAnd he believed in the Lord, and He accounted it to him for righteousness.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

This verse is foundational. It\u2019s the first time in the Bible we see righteousness given not by works, but by faith<\/strong>. Paul later confirms in Galatians 3:7 (NKJV):<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cTherefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\n

2. Abraham\u2019s Faith Went Beyond the Natural<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Abraham didn\u2019t just believe when things were easy. His faith endured the impossible. God promised him a son when he was nearly 100 years old, and he believed. When God tested him by asking him to sacrifice that very son, Isaac, Abraham didn\u2019t doubt. Hebrews 11:17\u201319 (NKJV) tells us:<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cBy faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac\u2026 concluding that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

That is radical faith.<\/strong> Abraham trusted God beyond logic, beyond emotion, and beyond human reasoning. He knew that God’s promises could not fail, even if circumstances seemed to say otherwise.<\/p>\n

\n

3. Faith That Moves God: The Roman Centurion<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In Matthew 8:5\u201313, Jesus encounters a Roman centurion\u2014a Gentile, not a Jew\u2014whose faith astonishes Him.<\/p>\n

The centurion’s servant was sick, and Jesus offered to come heal him. But the centurion responded:<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cLord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.\u201d (Matthew 8:8 NKJV)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

He believed in the authority of Jesus\u2019 word<\/strong>. He knew Jesus didn\u2019t need to be physically present to heal. Jesus marveled and said:<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cAssuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!\u201d (v. 10)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Then He added a remarkable prophecy:<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cAnd I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.
But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness.\u201d (vv. 11\u201312)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\n

4. God Looks at the Heart, Not Religious Status<\/strong><\/h3>\n

This statement challenges our assumptions. Jesus was saying that many outsiders\u2014people from unlikely places, people the religious world ignores\u2014will enter the Kingdom<\/strong>, while some who thought they were guaranteed a place (the \u201csons of the kingdom\u201d) will be left out.<\/p>\n

Why? Because God looks at the heart of faith<\/strong>, not religious titles or rituals (1 Samuel 16:7).<\/p>\n

Just like Abraham, the centurion accounted God as faithful and able<\/strong>. He didn\u2019t need physical evidence or religious ceremony. He simply believed in God\u2019s authority<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

5. Other Examples of Radical Faith<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Throughout the Gospels, Jesus responds differently when He sees extraordinary faith:<\/p>\n
