One of Satan\u2019s most effective deceptions is convincing people that they are never responsible for their own sins. He works tirelessly to shift the blame onto himself, making people believe that he alone is the cause of all human problems<\/strong>. \u201cThe heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; Who can know it?\u201d<\/strong> \u2014 Jeremiah 17:9, NKJV<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n In other words, just like Satan, many people are led astray not by external forces, but by the evil within their own hearts<\/strong>. Most people blame Satan when they sin, but in reality, they choose sin willingly. Satan didn\u2019t create sin\u2014he only promotes it. The possibility<\/strong> of evil was allowed by God to make free will meaningful. Without the option to disobey, there would be no true obedience.<\/p>\n \u201cSee, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil.\u201d<\/strong> \u2014 Deuteronomy 30:15<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n God placed the tree of the knowledge of good and evil<\/strong> in Eden not as a trap, but as a symbol of choice. Even if Satan had not tempted Eve, she still had the free will to eat from it. Satan was just a tempter, not the creator of sin.<\/p>\n \u201cThen when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.\u201d<\/strong> \u2014 James 1:15<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n The source of sin is the desire in the human heart<\/strong>, not an outside force overpowering someone. Satan takes advantage of the desires that are already within us.<\/p>\n When someone sins, they are not being forced by Satan<\/strong>. They are making a personal decision to obey the desires of the flesh.<\/p>\n \u201cDo not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.\u201d<\/strong> \u2014 Galatians 6:7<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n \u201cSo then each of us shall give account of himself to God.\u201d<\/strong> \u2014 Romans 14:12<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n The Bible is clear that we will each stand before the judgment seat of Christ<\/strong>, and give an account of what we<\/em> have done\u2014not what Satan did through us:<\/p>\n \u201cFor we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.\u201d<\/strong> \u2014 2 Corinthians 5:10<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n No one will be able to say, \u201cIt wasn\u2019t me\u2014it was Satan!\u201d That excuse will not hold.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.\u201d<\/strong> \u2014 John 3:19<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n People don\u2019t sin because Satan is powerful\u2014they sin because they love darkness more than light<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Just as God promises to bless those who choose good, He also warns of curses and judgment upon those who choose evil. This was true even in Eden:<\/p>\n \u201cTo the woman He said: \u2018I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception; in pain you shall bring forth children.\u2019… Then to Adam He said… \u2018Cursed is the ground for your sake.\u2019\u201d<\/strong> \u2014 Genesis 3:16\u201317<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Notice\u2014it wasn\u2019t Satan who cursed Adam and Eve\u2014it was God<\/strong>. Why? Because they made the choice<\/strong> to sin. \u201cHe who does wrong will be repaid for what he has done, and there is no partiality.\u201d<\/strong> \u2014 Colossians 3:25<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Life is like walking into a market with two shops\u2014one offers garments of righteousness (white robes), and the other offers garments of sin (darkness). Both shopkeepers invite you in, but only you can decide<\/strong> what to purchase. \u201cI call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life\u2026\u201d<\/strong> \u2014 Deuteronomy 30:19<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n You are fully responsible for the choices you make.<\/p>\n Have you noticed how people take credit when they do good, saying things like, \u201cI just felt like helping that poor person\u201d<\/em>\u2014yet when they sin, they quickly say, \u201cIt was the devil!\u201d<\/em>? \u201cBe not wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil.\u201d<\/strong> \u2014 Proverbs 3:7<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n \u201cIf you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land; But if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword.\u201d<\/strong> \u2014 Isaiah 1:19\u201320<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n God will not judge Satan for your actions\u2014He will judge you<\/strong>. Yes, Satan tempts, but you choose<\/strong>.<\/p>\n There is one Man who never gave in to sin. Jesus Christ lived in perfect obedience to God and chose good<\/strong> in every situation:<\/p>\n \u201cCurds and honey He shall eat, that He may know to refuse the evil and choose the good.\u201d<\/strong> \u2014 Isaiah 7:15<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n He is the only one who can teach us how to walk in righteousness. He invites all who are weary from sin and burdened by guilt to come to Him:<\/p>\n \u201cCome to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.\u201d<\/strong> \u2014 Matthew 11:28<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n \u201cTake My yoke upon you and learn from Me\u2026 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.\u201d<\/strong> \u2014 Matthew 11:29\u201330<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Whatever sin you are bound in\u2014whether it\u2019s sexual immorality, pornography, addiction, gossip, corruption, abortion, fear, or spiritual oppression\u2014Jesus is calling you today<\/strong>. Come to Him as you are<\/strong>, and He will receive you.<\/p>\n Repent sincerely\u2014not just in words, but with the commitment to turn away from sin completely<\/strong>. God promises to forgive you:<\/p>\n \u201cIf we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.\u201d<\/strong> \u2014 1 John 1:9<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n But don\u2019t stop at repentance. To complete your cleansing, you must obey the Gospel by being baptized<\/strong>\u2014fully immersed in water in the name of Jesus Christ<\/strong>:<\/p>\n \u201cRepent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.\u201d<\/strong> \u2014 Acts 2:38<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Through baptism, your past sins are washed away, and you are born again in Christ. Then the Holy Spirit will empower you to choose what is right and live a life that pleases God.<\/p>\n \u201cTherefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.\u201d<\/strong> \u2014 2 Corinthians 5:17<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n We are living in the last days. The trumpet could sound at any moment. Those who belong to Christ will be caught up to meet Him (1 Thessalonians 4:16\u201317).
