There are times when God gives us commands that might seem small or even spiritually unimportant. It\u2019s easy to overlook them, thinking we can still serve God faithfully while setting aside what He said. But from God\u2019s perspective, obedience is better than sacrifice<\/strong> (1 Samuel 15:22)<\/em>, and ignoring His instructions\u2014even unintentionally\u2014can make our service empty.<\/p>\n

\n

1. God\u2019s Instructions May Seem Minor\u2014But They Matter to Him<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Apostle Paul, through the revelation of the Holy Spirit, taught that physical circumcision doesn\u2019t guarantee salvation<\/strong>. If someone breaks God\u2019s law, then circumcision loses its meaning.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor circumcision is indeed profitable if you keep the law; but if you are a breaker of the law, your circumcision has become uncircumcision.\u201d
\n(Romans 2:25)<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Yet, Paul still acknowledged that circumcision had value. Why? Because it was part of the covenant<\/strong> God gave to Israel.<\/p>\n

\u201cMuch in every way! Chiefly because to them were committed the oracles of God.\u201d
\n(Romans 3:2)<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The principle is this:<\/strong> Even if a practice no longer holds saving power, it is still meaningful when it originates from God\u2019s command.<\/p>\n

\n

2. Christians Too Have Received Divine Instructions\u2014From Jesus Himself<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Under the new covenant, Jesus gives clear instruction<\/strong> for all who believe in Him:<\/p>\n

\u201cHe who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.\u201d
\n(Mark 16:16)<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Here, faith and baptism<\/strong> are both presented as necessary steps toward salvation. Yet some Christians argue that baptism is optional, claiming, \u201cOnly faith saves\u2014baptism is just a symbol.\u201d<\/p>\n

While it\u2019s true that only the blood of Jesus can cleanse sin<\/strong> (1 John 1:7)<\/em>, baptism is still a command of Christ<\/strong>, and obedience to that command is part of true faith.<\/p>\n

\n

3. Obedience is the Foundation of a Secure Christian Life<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Jesus asked a powerful question:<\/p>\n

\u201cBut why do you call Me \u2018Lord, Lord,\u2019 and not do the things which I say?\u201d
\n(Luke 6:46)<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

He then compared two types of people:<\/p>\n
