The Bible does not explicitly state how long it took Noah to build the ark. Some believe it was 120 years, based on Genesis 6:3, which says:<\/p>\n
“Then the Lord said, ‘My Spirit will not contend with humans forever, for they are mortal; their days will be a hundred and twenty years.\u2019\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
However, that verse doesn’t necessarily mean the ark took 120 years to build\u2014it more likely refers to the time God gave humanity before the flood came. So that interpretation isn\u2019t entirely certain.<\/p>\n
We do know that Noah was 500 years old when he had his sons (Genesis 5:32), and that he was 600 years old when he entered the ark (Genesis 7:6). That leaves a 100-year span, which many believe could have been the period during which the ark was built. Just as the first world was destroyed by water due to human sin, the Bible warns that the current world will one day be destroyed as well not by water this time, but by fire.<\/p>\n

\n“By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. By the same word, the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Sins such as adultery, corruption, hatred, slander, unforgiveness, drunkenness, homosexuality, sexual perversion, vulgarity, greed, abortion, theft and many others are the same types of sin that brought judgment in Noah\u2019s day. And they are the same sins that will bring judgment again, this time by fire.<\/p>\n
Just as God fulfilled His word in the days of Noah, He will fulfill it again. What He has promised will come to pass.<\/p>\n
So, let me ask you are you still living for the world? Have you surrendered your life to Jesus Christ and turned away from sin?<\/p>\n
The return of the Lord is near. The Rapture could happen at any moment.<\/p>\n
