Many people today mistake loving warning<\/strong> for judgment<\/strong>. But there is a key theological difference between the two.<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udd391. What is Biblical Judgment?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In Scripture, to judge<\/em> someone in a condemning sense means to declare their final state or punishment without grace, often with an attitude of superiority. Jesus warned against this in:<\/p>\n

Matthew 7:1\u20132\u00a0<\/strong>
\n\u201cJudge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged\u2026\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Here, Jesus was condemning hypocritical judgment\u2014where someone passes sentence on others while ignoring their own sin (see Matthew 7:3\u20135). Judgment in this sense comes from pride, not love. It assumes a person is beyond hope, and offers no redemption.<\/p>\n

Likewise, warning someone that unrepentant sin leads to eternal separation from God (hell) is not judging\u2014it\u2019s giving them a chance to repent and be saved<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

God commands us to warn others out of responsibility and love\u2014not self-righteousness.<\/p>\n

The Bible instructs believers to teach, correct, and rebuke<\/strong> using God\u2019s Word\u2014not to act as judges, but as watchmen and messengers<\/strong> of truth.<\/p>\n

Correcting someone from the Scriptures\u2014whether it\u2019s about fornication, drunkenness, greed, or idolatry\u2014is not judging. It is warning them of what the Bible clearly states<\/strong> will happen to those who continue in sin without repentance.<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udd394. The Consequence of Sin<\/strong><\/h3>\n

God\u2019s Word outlines that unrepentant sin separates us from God<\/strong> and leads to eternal punishment:<\/p>\n

\n\u201cNow the works of the flesh are evident\u2026 of which I tell you beforehand\u2026 that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\n\u201cThe Lord is not slack concerning His promise\u2026 but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Jesus came not to condemn, but to save (John 3:17). That salvation begins with repentance\u2014turning from sin and trusting in Christ. So, telling someone to repent is pointing them to life, not judgment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

If someone warns you about your sin using the Bible, don\u2019t see it as an attack or judgment. See it as God reaching out<\/strong> to you before it\u2019s too late.<\/p>\n

And if you’re a believer, don\u2019t be afraid to speak the truth in love. Warning someone of hell is not judgment\u2014it\u2019s compassion. You\u2019re not the judge\u2014God is\u2014but He has called you to be a witness of His truth<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
