Nahum 1:7: “The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him.”<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

I want to tell you \u2014 you who have made God your everything, without hypocrisy \u2014 know that God sees you. You who have made Him your final and only hope, God sees you. You who spend your time thinking about Him, meditating on His ways, and dedicating yourself to His work regardless of your circumstances \u2014 He knows you very well. You who strive tirelessly to grow in His knowledge even though others may think you’ve lost your mind or are wasting time \u2014 be assured, God knows you intimately.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It doesn\u2019t matter how much the world sees you as lost, or how much your family may have rejected you, or how far your friends have distanced themselves \u2014 none of these things prevent God from seeing you<\/strong>. In fact, He sees you more clearly than you even understand<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In these last days, it is easy to hear even a drunkard or an adulterer, or someone dressed indecently say, \u201cGod is my refuge.\u201d Some are good church attendees, singing in choirs, or leading the youth or women\u2019s groups, yet secretly watching pornography or living in immorality \u2014 and they too claim, \u201cGod is my refuge.\u201d Everyone can say these words because it\u2019s easy to utter them.
But God says, \u201cI know those who take refuge in Me.\u201d<\/strong> (Nahum 1:7)<\/p>\n

It doesn\u2019t require sitting down to narrate your story to Him, or explaining through prayer, or singing beautiful worship songs saying, \u201cYou are my refuge, O Lord.\u201d Nor does it require broadcasting it to everyone. Those things alone do not give you a ticket to be counted as one who has taken refuge in God.<\/strong>
Instead, your actions speak for you. With God, there is no political showmanship.<\/strong><\/p>\n

But I want to tell you \u2014 there is a great reward<\/strong> and a mighty blessing<\/strong> reserved for those who seek God with all their strength. There is a day \u2014 even here on earth \u2014 when you will be greatly refreshed, before you even get to heaven<\/strong>, as long as you do not faint.<\/p>\n

Psalm 31:19\u201320 (NIV):<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n

19 How abundant are the good things that you have stored up for those who fear you,
that you bestow in the sight of all,
on those who take refuge in you.<\/em>
20 In the shelter of your presence you hide them
from all human intrigues;
you keep them safe in your dwelling
from accusing tongues.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

So do not lose heart<\/strong>. The Lord always knows those who take refuge in Him.<\/strong><\/p>\n
