{"id":55221,"date":"2020-01-26T22:46:48","date_gmt":"2020-01-26T19:46:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wingulamashahidi.org\/?p=55221"},"modified":"2025-09-15T21:55:25","modified_gmt":"2025-09-15T18:55:25","slug":"a-great-tribulation-is-coming-and-the-rapture-is-near","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wingulamashahidi.org\/en\/2020\/01\/26\/a-great-tribulation-is-coming-and-the-rapture-is-near\/","title":{"rendered":"A GREAT TRIBULATION IS COMING AND THE RAPTURE IS NEAR!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Shalom, and welcome to this Bible study in the Word of God.<\/strong><br \/>\nMay the Holy Spirit help us again today as we reflect on His Word.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>1.BIBLICAL EVENTS AS PROPHETIC FORESHADOWS<\/h3>\n<p>Many historical events recorded in the Bible are not just ancient stories but prophetic shadows of future events.<br \/>\nFor example, consider <strong>the flood during the days of Noah<\/strong>. Jesus Himself said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cAs it was in the days of Noah, so will it be at the coming of the Son of Man.\u201d<br \/>\n<em>Matthew 24:37, ESV<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In Noah&#8217;s time, people were living their lives unaware\u00a0 until sudden destruction came. Likewise, in the end times, people will declare &#8220;peace and safety,&#8221; yet <strong>sudden destruction will come<\/strong> (1 Thessalonians 5:3).<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>2. A PROPHETIC PICTURE BEFORE CHRIST\u2019S FIRST COMING<\/h3>\n<p>Let us examine an event that took place <strong>just before the birth of Jesus<\/strong>, which also offers a <strong>prophetic picture<\/strong> of what will happen shortly before the rapture of the Church.<\/p>\n<p>As Mary, the mother of Jesus, was nearing the time of giving birth, <strong>Satan had already detected the coming Messiah<\/strong> and began to scheme ways to eliminate Him even before or shortly after His birth.<\/p>\n<p>Then came an unusual command from <strong>Caesar Augustus<\/strong>, the Roman emperor at the time:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cIn those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered.\u201d<br \/>\n<em>Luke 2:1, ESV<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This registration (or census) required every person to go back to their place of origin to be counted\u00a0 in essence, to receive an official identification.<\/p>\n<p>There may have been several earthly motivations behind this:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To improve tax collection,<\/li>\n<li>To track population growth,<\/li>\n<li>To monitor and control those considered threats to the empire.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This parallels modern times\u00a0 for example, today we see governments requiring SIM card registration with fingerprints to control cybercrime.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>3.THE CENSUS AND GOD\u2019S SOVEREIGN PLAN<\/h3>\n<p>Although Caesar&#8217;s decree seemed political, God used it <strong>to fulfill prophecy<\/strong>\u00a0 that the Messiah would be born in <strong>Bethlehem<\/strong> (Micah 5:2).<br \/>\nBut <strong>Satan also had a plan<\/strong>\u00a0 to destroy the child Jesus. King Herod, manipulated by fear and satanic influence, issued a genocidal command:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThen Herod&#8230; sent and killed all the male children in Bethlehem and in all that region who were two years old or under\u2026\u201d<br \/>\n<em>Matthew 2:16, ESV<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Satan\u2019s attack was focused. Why only <strong>Bethlehem<\/strong> and not the entire nation? Because Satan <strong>targets strategically<\/strong>, not randomly.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>4.A TIME OF GREAT SORROW\u00a0 A PICTURE OF THE LAST DAYS<\/h3>\n<p>The grief that followed in Bethlehem was immense. It fulfilled what was spoken by the prophet Jeremiah:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cA voice was heard in Ramah,<br \/>\nweeping and loud lamentation,<br \/>\nRachel weeping for her children;<br \/>\nshe refused to be comforted,<br \/>\nbecause they are no more.\u201d<br \/>\n<em>Matthew 2:18, ESV<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This deep sorrow mirrors what Jesus later prophesied:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cAnd alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days!\u201d<br \/>\n<em>Matthew 24:19, ESV<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>He was not only reflecting on the past but pointing to the future\u00a0 to the <strong>Great Tribulation<\/strong> a time of unimaginable suffering.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>5.A SECOND CENSUS\u00a0 THE ANTICHRIST&#8217;S SYSTEM<\/h3>\n<p>Just as Caesar demanded a universal registration, a <strong>similar but sinister global system is coming<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Antichrist will implement a new system<\/strong>, requiring all people to be registered\u00a0 likely using technology such as microchips, biometric IDs, or digital currencies. This system will carry <strong>the mark of the beast<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201c\u2026so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name\u2026 666.\u201d<br \/>\n<em>Revelation 13:17\u201318, ESV<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Each person will be required to validate their identity, possibly returning to their place of residence, just as during Caesar\u2019s census.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>6.THE RAPTURE HAPPENS SUDDENLY<\/h3>\n<p>In the midst of these global preparations, the <strong>rapture of the Church will occur suddenly<\/strong>. Just as Joseph, Mary, and baby Jesus were divinely warned and escaped to Egypt, so the Church will be <strong>taken up into heaven<\/strong>\u00a0 removed from the coming wrath.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cFor God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.\u201d<br \/>\n<em>1 Thessalonians 5:9, ESV<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Those left behind will face the full horrors of the Antichrist\u2019s reign. And just as Herod slaughtered the innocent in Bethlehem, the Antichrist will persecute those who refuse the mark\u00a0 especially those who come to Christ after the rapture.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>7.WILL YOU BE LEFT BEHIND?<\/h3>\n<p>If you&#8217;re not taken up in the rapture, the only way to be saved will be to <strong>reject the mark of the beast<\/strong>, which will come with unimaginable persecution.<\/p>\n<p>But there&#8217;s hope now.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cAt that time Jesus said\u2026 \u2018Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?\u2019<br \/>\nAnd stretching out his hand toward his disciples, he said,<br \/>\n\u2018Here are my mother and my brothers!<br \/>\nFor whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.\u2019\u201d<br \/>\n<em>Matthew 12:48\u201350, ESV<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Are you doing the <strong>will of the Father<\/strong>\u00a0 or the will of the enemy?<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>8.THE WORKS OF THE FLESH<\/h3>\n<p>Those living in sin will not inherit the kingdom of God. Examples of such sinful lifestyles include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Drunkenness<\/li>\n<li>Sexual immorality (fornication, adultery, homosexuality, pornography)<\/li>\n<li>Abortion<\/li>\n<li>Masturbation<\/li>\n<li>Idolatry<\/li>\n<li>Theft<\/li>\n<li>Bribery<\/li>\n<li>Gossip<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cNow the works of the flesh are evident\u2026 I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.\u201d<br \/>\n<em>Galatians 5:19\u201321, ESV<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>These people will face the Great Tribulation unless they repent.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>9.DON&#8217;T WAIT UNTIL IT&#8217;S TOO LATE<\/h3>\n<p>If you haven\u2019t yet accepted Jesus Christ, <strong>do not wait for tomorrow<\/strong>. The enemy may try to cut your life short before you surrender to Christ.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cToday, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts\u2026\u201d<br \/>\n<em>Hebrews 3:15, ESV<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Salvation is a free gift. You&#8217;re not charged to hear this message. Don&#8217;t ignore it.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cFor the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.\u201d<br \/>\n<em>Romans 6:23, ESV<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>If you died today, where would your soul go?<br \/>\nWill you be counted among those who will escape the coming wrath\u00a0 like Mary and Joseph or will you be left behind in the coming judgment?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Repent today. Turn from sin. Surrender your life to Jesus Christ.<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>PRAYER OF SALVATION<\/h3>\n<p>If you&#8217;re ready to commit your life to Christ, pray sincerely:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cLord Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God.<br \/>\nI confess that I am a sinner and I repent of all my sins.<br \/>\nI ask You to come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior.<br \/>\nWash me clean by Your blood, fill me with Your Holy Spirit,<br \/>\nand help me to live for You from today onward.<br \/>\nIn Jesus\u2019 name, Amen.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The signs of the end are clear.
