The entire New Testament is centered around Him. In fact, the <strong>entire Bible from Genesis to Revelation points to Christ<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In the Old Testament, Christ is revealed <strong>through types, shadows, and prophetic symbols<\/strong>, while in the New Testament He is revealed <strong>openly and fully<\/strong>. Christianity remains incomplete and shallow if we fail to truly understand <strong>who Jesus is<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>Why Knowing Jesus Matters<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>If we do not understand:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Who Jesus is,<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Why He came into the world,<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>How He operates,<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>What He requires of us,<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>What we need from Him,<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Where He is now and what He\u2019s doing<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Then we also <strong>won\u2019t be able to recognize His adversary the Antichrist.<\/strong> You cannot claim to know someone\u2019s enemies until you truly know the person himself.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>Before Creation, God Was Simply&#8230; God<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Before the creation of humans, angels, or anything at all, <strong>God existed alone<\/strong>. He held <strong>no title<\/strong> such as \u201cFather\u201d or \u201cCreator,\u201d because titles only exist <strong>in relation to others<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, He had <strong>no name <\/strong>because names are identifiers meant to distinguish someone from others. Since there was <strong>no one else in existence<\/strong>, He simply said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>\u201cI AM WHO I AM.\u201d<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>(Exodus 3:14, ESV)<\/em><br \/>\n<em>(Hebrew: Ehyeh-Asher-Ehyeh)<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This is not so much a &#8220;name&#8221; as it is a <strong>statement of eternal self existence<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>When He Created, He Became Known as God and Father<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>When God created angels and humans, <strong>He became &#8220;God&#8221; (Elohim) <\/strong>which in Hebrew conveys \u201c<strong>Creator<\/strong>\u201d or \u201c<strong>Supreme One<\/strong>\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>Later, when He formed a covenant with Israel and <strong>called them His children<\/strong>, He took the title <strong>Father<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Hebrews 1:5<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>&#8220;For to which of the angels did God ever say, \u2018You are my Son, today I have begotten you\u2019? Or again, \u2018I will be to him a father, and he shall be to me a son\u2019?\u201d<\/em> (ESV)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>God the Father Revealed to Israel as YHWH (Jehovah)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>In the time of Moses, when God delivered Israel from Egypt, <strong>He revealed Himself as YHWH (Jehovah) <\/strong>the covenant keeping God.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Exodus 6:3<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>&#8220;I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as God Almighty, but by my name the Lord (YHWH) I did not make myself known to them.&#8221;<\/em> (ESV)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>God declared that <strong>Israel was His firstborn son<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Exodus 4:22<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>\u201cThen you shall say to Pharaoh, \u2018Thus says the Lord, Israel is my firstborn son&#8230; Let my son go that he may serve me.\u2019\u201d<\/em> (ESV)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Hosea 11:1<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>&#8220;When Israel was a child, I loved him, and out of Egypt I called my son.&#8221;<\/em> (ESV)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Since Israel was the \u201cfirstborn,\u201d it implies that <strong>others would also be called God\u2019s children <\/strong>namely, the Gentiles.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>Gentiles Included in God\u2019s Family<\/strong><\/h3>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Romans 9:24\u201326<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>\u201cEven us whom He has called, not from the Jews only but also from the Gentiles? As indeed He says in Hosea, &#8216;Those who were not my people I will call &#8220;my people&#8221;; and her who was not beloved I will call &#8220;beloved.&#8221;&#8216;\u201d<\/em> (ESV)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Yet the <strong>Old Covenant could not perfect<\/strong> either Jew or Gentile. That is why <strong>God prepared a better way <\/strong>by coming <strong>in the flesh<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>God Became Flesh\u00a0 The Mystery of Godliness<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>God, in the person of <strong>Jehovah<\/strong>, put on <strong>human flesh<\/strong> and walked among us. This is the <strong>great mystery of the gospel<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>1 Timothy 3:16<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>\u201cGreat indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness: He was manifested in the flesh, vindicated by the Spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.\u201d<\/em> (ESV)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The name <strong>Jesus<\/strong> in Hebrew is <em>Yehoshua<\/em> or <em>Yeshua<\/em>, meaning &#8220;<strong>Jehovah is salvation<\/strong>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Thus, <strong>Jesus is Jehovah in human flesh <\/strong><em>Jehovah Savior<\/em>. He came <strong>as a man<\/strong>, not to exalt Himself, but to humbly serve:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Mark 10:45<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>\u201cFor even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.\u201d<\/em> (ESV)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>A Humble King in Disguise<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Jesus accepted to be called:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Son of David,<\/li>\n<li>Son of Joseph,<\/li>\n<li>Son of Man,<\/li>\n<li>Son of God<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Even though <strong>He was none of these in the earthly sense<\/strong>, but far greater.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Matthew 22:45<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>&#8220;If then David calls him Lord, how is he his son?&#8221;<\/em> (ESV)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This reveals that <strong>His identity was hidden as a mystery <\/strong>for those whom the Father would reveal it to.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>One God Revealed in Three Roles<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>God is not three separate persons, but <strong>One God<\/strong> revealed in <strong>three main roles<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>As the Father<\/strong>\u00a0 Creator and source of all things.<\/li>\n<li><strong>As the Son<\/strong> The manifestation of God in the flesh (Jesus Christ).<\/li>\n<li><strong>As the Holy Spirit<\/strong>\u00a0 The indwelling presence of God.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Just like a person has a <strong>body, soul, and spirit<\/strong>, yet remains one being so God has <strong>manifested Himself in different ways<\/strong>, yet remains <strong>One True God<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>John 14:9<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>\u201cWhoever has seen me has seen the Father.\u201d<\/em> (ESV)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>Salvation Is Only in Jesus&#8217; Name<\/strong><\/h3>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Acts 4:12<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>\u201cAnd there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.\u201d<\/em> (ESV)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It is <strong>through the name of Jesus<\/strong> that we:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Are forgiven,<\/li>\n<li>Are baptized,<\/li>\n<li>Cast out demons,<\/li>\n<li>Live victorious Christian lives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is why the early church baptized <strong>in the name of Jesus Christ<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Acts 2:38<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>\u201cRepent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins&#8230;\u201d<\/em> (ESV)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Acts 8:16<\/strong>, <strong>Acts 10:48<\/strong>, <strong>Acts 19:5<\/strong>\u00a0 All confirm baptism <strong>in the name of Jesus<\/strong>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>To Reject Jesus Is to Reject God<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>If you reject Jesus Christ, you are <strong>not just rejecting a prophet or a good man <\/strong>you are <strong>rejecting God Himself<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>He will sit on His throne and judge all nations. He is the only way to eternal life.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>John 14:6<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>\u201cI am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.\u201d<\/em> (ESV)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>Know Him Deeply<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Let your faith not rest in denomination, church attendance, or tradition. Eternal life is only through <strong>knowing Jesus Christ personally<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Ephesians 4:13\u201315<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>\u201cUntil we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood&#8230; so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine&#8230;\u201d<\/em> (ESV)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Jesus Christ is Jehovah in the flesh.
