Shalom, child of God.<\/strong>
Welcome to today\u2019s reflection on God\u2019s Word. Our topic is taken from the words of Jesus Christ:<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cAbide in Me, and I in you.\u201d(John 15:4)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

These words were spoken by our Lord Jesus while teaching the Jews, shortly before His crucifixion. He emphasized the importance of intimate spiritual union with Him.<\/p>\n

Let us begin with John 6:53\u201356<\/strong>, where Jesus speaks profoundly about abiding in Him:<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cTruly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. Whoever feeds on My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. For My flesh is true food, and My blood is true drink. Whoever feeds on My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him<\/strong>.\u201d(John 6:53\u201356, ESV)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

And again in:<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cAbide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.\u201d(John 15:4, ESV)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Understanding \u201cAbide in Me\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>\n

This phrase may seem mysterious at first, but consider this simple illustration:<\/p>\n

Imagine a bucket full of water<\/strong>, and you lower a glass<\/strong> into it. The glass is in<\/em> the water, and water is in<\/em> the glass. You cannot separate the two. To reach the glass, you must go through the water and inside the glass, there\u2019s also water.<\/p>\n

That is what Jesus means: When we are in Him, He surrounds us externally<\/strong>, and at the same time, He dwells within us<\/strong>. He becomes our spiritual covering and our indwelling presence. When this union exists, what is happening outside us spiritually is also happening inside <\/strong>there is no contradiction.<\/p>\n

No One Else Can Offer This Kind of Relationship<\/strong><\/h3>\n

There is no other being <\/strong>not Satan, not human wisdom, not money, not possessions that can offer this kind of total care for both the body and the soul<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
