\u201cUnderstanding God’s Eternal Purpose through Christ\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Shalom, beloved of God.<\/strong>
\nIt is by the Lord\u2019s great mercy that we are alive today. Therefore, we must give thanks and continue to learn His word while we still have the opportunity. Today, I invite you to reflect with me on a profound topic from Scripture.“The Dispensation of the Fullness of Time.”<\/strong> What does this mean? When will it happen? What is its relevance to our lives?<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s begin with the words of the Apostle Paul:<\/p>\n

Ephesians 1:9-11 (NKJV)<\/strong>
\n“Having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself,
\nthat in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth in Him.
\nIn Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In simpler translations, verse 10 is rendered like this:<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen the time is right, God will gather together all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.\u201d (Ephesians 1:10, NLT\/ERV<\/em>)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This reveals that God has a fixed time <\/strong>a \u201cfullness of time\u201d when He will bring together everything<\/strong>, both spiritual and physical, heavenly and earthly, under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n

\n

1. Knowing Christ Changes How We Live<\/strong><\/h3>\n

If we truly know Christ <\/strong>His supremacy and authority then Christianity will not just be a religious label. It will transform how we live. Many today live lukewarm and compromised lives while still identifying as Christians. This reveals a lack of true revelation of who Jesus is, and why He came.<\/p>\n

Some only think of Christ as the one who died on the cross, ascended, and is waiting in heaven to return. While these are true, they are incomplete<\/strong> if we don’t understand the greater eternal plan<\/strong> that God is working through Christ.<\/p>\n

John 14:2-3 (NIV)<\/strong>
\n“In my Father’s house are many rooms\u2026 I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me…”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\n

2. Threefold Reconciliation Through Christ<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Jesus came to accomplish a threefold reconciliation<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

a) Reconciliation Between People (Jew and Gentile)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Originally, the Jews (Israel) were God\u2019s chosen people. Gentiles (non Jews) were alienated and excluded from God\u2019s promises. But through Jesus, we who were once far away have been brought near by His blood.<\/p>\n

Ephesians 2:13-19 (NIV)<\/strong>
\n\u201cBut now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ…
\nFor He Himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one\u2026 His purpose was to create in Himself one new humanity\u2026
\nConsequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God\u2019s people and members of His household.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Through Christ, all believers are one <\/strong>no longer separated by ethnicity, heritage, or status. This is a divine privilege and grace!<\/p>\n

b) Reconciliation Between Us and God<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Sin separated mankind from God. But through Jesus’ sacrificial death, that separation has been removed. We are no longer strangers to God, but children in His house.<\/p>\n

2 Corinthians 5:17-19 (NKJV)<\/strong>
\n\u201cTherefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation…
\nNow all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ<\/strong>, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation…\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Now, believers can enter God’s presence freely <\/strong>no longer needing a human priest to mediate.<\/p>\n

Hebrews 10:19 (ESV)<\/strong>
\n\u201cTherefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus…\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

c) Reconciliation Between Heaven and Earth<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Jesus came not just to save individuals, but to unite creation itself <\/strong>heaven and earth under His authority.<\/p>\n

Colossians 1:19-20 (NIV)<\/strong>
\n\u201cFor God was pleased to have all His fullness dwell in Him,
\nand through Him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through His blood, shed on the cross.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This cosmic reconciliation is what Paul calls “the dispensation of the fullness of time” <\/strong>when all things will be summed up in Christ<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\n

3. Three Dwelling Places Christ Prepares<\/strong><\/h3>\n

When Jesus said, \u201cI go to prepare a place for you\u201d (John 14:2), He referred to three key \u201cdwelling places\u201d:<\/p>\n

a) Spiritual Position (Present Reality)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Believers are already seated with Christ in the spiritual realm.<\/p>\n

Ephesians 2:6 (NKJV)<\/strong>
\n\u201c…and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

b) Resurrected Bodies (Future Promise)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

We await glorified, incorruptible bodies<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

1 Corinthians 15:52-53 (NIV)<\/strong>
\n\u201c…we will be changed. For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable…\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

c) New Heaven and New Earth (Final Dwelling)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Our final home is not in \u201cheaven\u201d forever<\/strong>, but on a renewed earth<\/strong> where heaven and earth are joined.<\/p>\n

Revelation 21:1-3 (ESV)<\/strong>
\n\u201cThen I saw a new heaven and a new earth\u2026
\nLook! God\u2019s dwelling place is now among the people\u2026\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This is when Christ will unite all things <\/strong>spiritual and physical in Himself.<\/p>\n
