In the Bible, Shiloh was a holy city. Before God chose Jerusalem as the city where He would put His name forever, the Israelites used to gather in Shiloh as the sacred place for worship and sacrifices.<\/p>\n
After the Israelites entered the Promised Land, the Ark of the Covenant was placed in Shiloh. The Ark remained there for many years until the Philistines took it away because of the sins of the Israelites (1 Samuel 4:10\u201311).<\/p>\n
It was also in Shiloh where the prophet Samuel was raised and lived all his life (1 Samuel 1:24).<\/p>\n
Geographically, the city of Shiloh was located north of Bethel, near Samaria.<\/p>\n

But the question is: Is Shiloh still a holy place today?<\/p>\n
The answer is No!<\/p>\n
Shiloh today is no longer in Israel it is found in the Word of God.<\/p>\n
In the truth of God\u2019s Word and in the Holy Spirit, we worship the Father, just as the Lord Jesus said:<\/p>\n
John 4:21\u201323 (ESV)<\/p>\n
\u201cJesus said to her, \u2018Woman, believe me, the hour is coming when neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father. You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews.
\nBut the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.\u2019\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\nSo, have you received the Holy Spirit? Are you living according to the Word?<\/p>\n
