\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Lord Jesus taught us a very unique and comprehensive prayer \u2014 the Lord\u2019s Prayer<\/strong> \u2014 a prayer that contains every essential element we need in our communication with God. In that prayer, there is a phrase that says:<\/p>\n \u201cYour Kingdom come.\u201d<\/strong> (Matthew 6:10)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Have you ever paused to reflect on why Jesus taught us to pray for the Kingdom to come<\/em>? This implies that there is a Kingdom that has not yet fully come \u2014 the Kingdom of Heaven<\/strong>. What we see physically often mirrors what exists spiritually. In the physical world, we see many kingdoms and nations, each striving to be greater and more powerful than the other.<\/p>\n But if all humans came from one man, Adam<\/strong>, why then do we have so many divided kingdoms? Why is there not one unified global kingdom?<\/p>\n The answer lies in the spiritual conflict of kingdoms<\/strong> that began before the creation of the world.<\/p>\n Just as a home cannot have two fathers, so too the world cannot have two ruling kingdoms without conflict and destruction. That\u2019s why chaos, wars, and moral decay continue in our world \u2014 because two opposing kingdoms<\/strong> are at work: the Kingdom of God<\/strong> and the kingdom of Satan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Before creation, God established His Kingdom in Heaven \u2014 a perfect, holy, and orderly realm. The Bible says:<\/p>\n \u201cIn the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.\u201d (Genesis 1:1)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Heaven was not formless or void; it was the dwelling place of holy angels<\/strong>, structured under divine order. Among the highest angels were Michael<\/strong>, Gabriel<\/strong>, and Lucifer (Satan)<\/strong> \u2014 beings of great beauty and wisdom (Ezekiel 28:12\u201314).<\/p>\n Lucifer was created as a covering cherub<\/strong>, anointed and appointed to oversee worship and leadership among the angels. But pride entered his heart. Seeing his own beauty and wisdom, he desired to exalt himself and establish his own throne:<\/p>\n \u201cYou said in your heart, \u2018I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God… I will make myself like the Most High.\u2019\u201d Lucifer\u2019s pride turned him from worship to rebellion. He convinced many angels to follow him, forming a counterfeit kingdom in opposition to God. But his rebellion was swiftly judged \u2014 he fell like lightning from Heaven<\/strong>:<\/p>\n \u201cI saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.\u201d This fall was sudden and irreversible \u2014 a divine act showing that no creature can exalt itself against the Creator.<\/p>\n The prophet Ezekiel provides a profound revelation of Satan\u2019s fall:<\/p>\n \u201cYou were in Eden, the garden of God… You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created till wickedness was found in you… So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God.\u201d And Isaiah writes:<\/p>\n \u201cHow you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations.\u201d Lucifer, once radiant and honored, was cast out of God\u2019s holy presence. His kingdom \u2014 built on pride, deception, and rebellion \u2014 became the kingdom of darkness<\/strong>, reigning over fallen angels and influencing the world.<\/p>\n When God created the earth, He established His Kingdom again through Adam<\/strong>, giving him dominion over all creation (Genesis 1:26\u201328). The Garden of Eden was the earthly reflection of God\u2019s heavenly order.<\/p>\n But Satan, now cast to the earth, deceived humanity. Through sin, Adam forfeited the authority God had given him, and Satan became \u201cthe ruler of this world\u201d (John 12:31). Since then, all earthly kingdoms that reject God\u2019s rule operate under Satan\u2019s influence.<\/p>\n This is why Jesus, during His temptation, was shown \u201call the kingdoms of the world\u201d by Satan, who said:<\/p>\n \u201cAll this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me.\u201d Indeed, Satan rules the systems of this fallen world \u2014 politics, culture, and false religions \u2014 through deception. But his reign is temporary.<\/p>\n Satan knows his time is short (Revelation 12:12). His strategy is to spread pride, immorality, and rebellion \u2014 the very sins that caused his own fall \u2014 among men, so that many may share in his destruction.<\/p>\n Just as his fall was sudden, so too will be the final collapse of his kingdom. Paul warns:<\/p>\n \u201cWhile people are saying, \u2018Peace and safety,\u2019 destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.\u201d The world today boasts of scientific advancement, global unity, and human rights, claiming that peace and progress will sustain humanity for millennia. But Scripture declares otherwise \u2014 the kingdoms of this world will fall<\/strong>, just as Babylon fell overnight when the mysterious hand wrote on the wall:<\/p>\n \u201cMENE, MENE, TEKEL, PARSIN.\u201d In one night, Babylon\u2019s empire collapsed \u2014 a prophetic image of how swiftly Satan\u2019s world order will end.<\/p>\n When the seventh trumpet sounds, Heaven will proclaim:<\/p>\n \u201cThe kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ, and He will reign forever and ever.\u201d This marks the final overthrow of Satan\u2019s dominion<\/strong> and the establishment of Christ\u2019s eternal reign<\/strong> \u2014 a Kingdom of righteousness, peace, and truth.<\/p>\n Therefore, dear believer, do not be deceived by the glitter of this world. Its kingdoms are perishing. The world\u2019s beauty, power, and fame are fleeting \u2014 but the Kingdom of God endures forever<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Let us seek that Kingdom first:<\/p>\n \u201cBut seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.\u201d Be ready. The fall of Satan\u2019s kingdom will be sudden \u2014 like lightning. But those who belong to Christ will reign with Him forever.<\/p>\n Do not follow the course of this world, nor be lulled by its apparent prosperity. Instead, fix your eyes on the coming King \u2014 Jesus Christ<\/strong>, who will soon return in glory to destroy the kingdom of darkness and establish His righteous rule upon the earth.<\/p>\n \u201cFor yet in a very little while, He who is coming will come and will not delay.\u201d Prepare your heart, walk in holiness, and proclaim this truth \u2014 that others may escape the sudden destruction and enter the everlasting Kingdom of Light.<\/p>\n May the Lord bless you and keep you ready for His coming.
