Mark 9:24<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cImmediately the boy\u2019s father cried out and said, \u2018I believe; help my unbelief!\u2019\u201d<\/em> \u2014 Mark 9:24 (ESV)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This is the story of an older man whose son was tormented by a persistent demon from childhood. Despite seeking help from doctors and various healers, and even after the disciples themselves failed to heal him, the father finally encountered the Lord Jesus.<\/p>\n

He said to Jesus, \u201cIf you can do anything, please have mercy on us and help us.\u201d<\/p>\n

But Jesus responded, \u201cIf you can?\u201d<\/em> He said, \u201cAll things are possible for one who believes.\u201d<\/em> \u2014 Mark 9:23 (ESV)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This shows that the man\u2019s faith was not yet perfect. Yet, in that moment, he placed all his hope in Jesus and believed: \u201cI believe; help my unbelief!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

This is one of the most honest and transparent prayers recorded in the Bible.<\/p>\n

He truly believed, but his faith was incomplete. He struggled to fully trust. So alongside his faith, he asked Jesus to help his unbelief \u2014 to help him surrender completely. Not just to witness a miracle, but to be helped, to be strengthened in faith.<\/p>\n

Jesus didn\u2019t reject him or scold him or tell him to do something else first. Instead, He rebuked the demon, and immediately the boy was healed.<\/p>\n

True faith doesn\u2019t mean doubts disappear overnight. It means choosing to surrender yourself to the Lord and placing your full trust in Him, even when your heart says, \u201cWhy do I still have doubts? Why don\u2019t I have faith? Why do my own words confirm my despair?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Don\u2019t stop praying and confessing your faith, even as you cry out for the Lord\u2019s help to make your faith complete. As you fully surrender, you will begin to witness great things done for you.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t condemn yourself for the doubts you\u2019ve had. Just lean fully on Jesus and don\u2019t take your foot off that ground. He will build you up.<\/p>\n

The father didn\u2019t walk away from Jesus because of his weakness \u2014 he stayed right there, because faith grows through relationship, not perfection.<\/p>\n

God\u2019s grace is greater than our shortcomings. Admit your weakness before Him but show Him your dependence. There you will see His strength revealed.<\/p>\n

Satan will want you to condemn yourself in times of struggle, but say:<\/p>\n

\u201cI believe, Lord; help my unbelief.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
