KNOW THE SEASONS OF YOUR VISITATION<\/strong><\/p>\n Did you know that the Jewish people were eagerly anticipating the Messiah?<\/p>\n Every day, they prayed to the God of heaven and earth, asking Him to send the Christ into the world\u2014to deliver them from the bondage of Rome and from sin (Luke 2:25-32). They were convinced that when He came, they would honor Him and rejoice. Everyone pictured in their minds what the Messiah would be like\u2014a conquering king, a ruler of glory.<\/p>\n But when He came, they did not recognize Him (John 1:10-11). Their great mistake was not understanding the season<\/strong>\u2014the specific timing of God\u2019s plan. Whenever we lose sight of God\u2019s appointed seasons, events can catch us off guard.<\/p>\n Think about it: Have you ever witnessed someone facing a challenge and completely losing their sense of time or context? They may not even recognize familiar people or circumstances. Everything feels new\u2014and only when clarity returns are they shocked to recognize what is happening.<\/p>\n Similarly, have you ever relied on a broken clock? You might wake up thinking it\u2019s still night. Losing sight of the correct season is like that: it disorients us spiritually and practically.<\/p>\n This is what happened to the Jews. They did not recognize the time of God\u2019s visitation<\/strong> (Luke 19:44, ESV). They assumed the Messiah could not come in their generation. They expected Him to come in royal power, ruling with an earthly kingdom, and they missed His first coming because it did not match their expectations (Isaiah 53:1-3).<\/p>\n Luke 19:43-44 (ESV)<\/strong> says:<\/p>\n \u201cFor the days will come upon you, when your enemies will set up a barricade against you, and surround you and hem you in on every side. They will dash you to the ground, you and your children within you. And they will not leave one stone upon another in you, because you did not know the time of your visitation.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Beloved, there is a season of visitation for every person<\/strong>. This is not merely about material blessings or worldly success; it is about the time when God\u2019s grace and salvation manifest in your life<\/strong> (Acts 17:30-31). Many people, like the Jews, are visited by God but fail to recognize it, and therefore miss the fullness of His blessing. Only later, often after much loss, do they realize their mistake.<\/p>\n Luke 12:54-56 (ESV)<\/strong> reminds us:<\/p>\n \u201cHe also said to the crowds: \u2018When you see a cloud rising in the west, you immediately say, \u201cIt is going to rain,\u201d and it happens. And when you see the south wind blowing, you say, \u201cThere will be heat,\u201d and it happens. You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky, but why do you not know how to interpret the present time?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n The \u201cpresent time\u201d here refers to the divine kairos<\/strong>\u2014the appointed moment of God\u2019s action. The Greek word kairos<\/em> differs from chronological time (chronos<\/em>); it indicates God\u2019s sovereignly ordained season, a time when His redemptive purposes are revealed (Ephesians 5:15-16).<\/p>\n The power drawing you to Christ right now is evidence that you are in a season of visitation<\/strong>. Do not ignore it. Do not delay. We are living in the season of Christ\u2019s second coming (2 Peter 3:8-10). While the world says He cannot come today, the Bible warns that He will return like a thief in the night<\/strong>, when people are unprepared.<\/p>\n If you tell someone that Jesus is about to return, they often imagine a distant future, picturing the rise of the Antichrist. But Scripture tells us that the spiritual forces of darkness are already at work (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4). The office of the Antichrist exists; all that remains is the full revelation of the season. Everything is in place, waiting to unfold according to God\u2019s plan.<\/p>\n This is the time to discern and recognize the season we are in<\/strong>. We may forget many things in life, but we cannot afford to lose sight of God\u2019s appointed season\u2014so that events do not catch us by surprise.<\/p>\n 1 Thessalonians 5:1-3 (ESV)<\/strong> says:<\/p>\n \u201cNow concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need to have anything written to you. For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, \u2018There is peace and security,\u2019 then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n The Lord is calling us to spiritual alertness<\/strong>. To recognize our season is to respond to God\u2019s timing, yielding to His grace and walking in alignment with His purposes. This is how we avoid being surprised, and how we fully receive the blessings God has prepared for us.<\/p>\n May the Lord bless us and open our eyes to discern the seasons of our visitation.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n\n
