Although we have the Gospel of the Cross<\/strong>, which is central to every person\u2019s salvation, there is another gospel referred to in Scripture: the Eternal Gospel<\/strong>. This is distinct from the Cross\u2011gospel. The Gospel of the Cross proclaims that humanity is saved through one person\u2014JESUS CHRIST<\/strong>. Any message that claims to redeem people but does not center on Jesus is false, because He alone is the way, the truth, and the life<\/strong>; no one can come to the Father except through Him.<\/p>\n

Therefore, many so\u2011called \u201cgospels\u201d may promise salvation, but only one truly can save \u2014 through Jesus Christ alone<\/strong>, the one crucified, dead, and risen. That\u2019s why Paul warned:<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cIf someone comes and preaches a\u202fdifferent Jesus than the one we preached, or if you receive a different spirit than the one you received, or a different gospel than the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.\u201d<\/em> \u2014 2\u202fCorinthians\u202f11:4 (paraphrase)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Paul\u2019s point is clear: there is a \u201cJesus\u201d of false teaching, and a \u201cgospel\u201d that is not the same as what the apostles preached.<\/p>\n

\n

What Is the Eternal Gospel?<\/h3>\n

The name \u201ceternal\u201d<\/strong> means exactly that \u2014 this gospel is timeless. It existed before<\/strong> humanity was created, it exists now<\/strong>, and it will continue forever<\/strong>. Contrast that with the Gospel of the Cross, which has a beginning (Calvary) and an endpoint (the Rapture). Once the door of grace closes, there will be no further opportunity for salvation. What remains is the gospel that is eternal \u2014 the one that has always been.<\/p>\n

In Revelation we read:<\/p>\n

\u201cThen I saw another angel flying in midair, and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth \u2014 to every nation, tribe, language and people.\u202fHe said in a loud voice, \u2018Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water.\u2019\u201d<\/em> \u2014 Revelation\u202f14:6\u20117 (NIV)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
