What Are These \u201cTestimonies\u201d?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The word \u201ctestimonies\u201d comes from the idea of bearing witness or giving evidence. It means confirming something as true.<\/p>\n

For example, if I say, \u201cThat person is kind,\u201d I am giving a testimony about them because I have personally seen that kindness\u2014either in how they treated me or others.<\/p>\n

This is different from someone speaking about themselves.<\/p>\n

In the same way, God has declared certain things to be true. These are what the Bible calls His testimonies<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

When God Himself confirms something, it gives us complete assurance that we will not go wrong by believing or following it. This is very different from human testimony, which can sometimes be unreliable or misleading.<\/p>\n

What Are the Main Testimonies of God?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The greatest testimony God has given is this:<\/p>\n

Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and in Him is life.<\/strong><\/p>\n

1 John 5:9\u201312 (NKJV)<\/strong>
\nIf we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater; for this is the witness of God which He has testified of His Son.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son.<\/p>\n

And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.<\/p>\n

He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.<\/p>\n

This is the central testimony of God\u2014and it is the message we are called to share with the world: that in Jesus Christ there is redemption and eternal life.<\/p>\n

Another Testimony of God<\/strong><\/h2>\n

There is also another testimony God gives:<\/p>\n

Those who believe in Christ are children of God<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This is something God confirms within us through His Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n

\nThe Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,
\nand if children, then heirs\u2014heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Jesus is not the only Son in the sense that we are excluded\u2014through faith in Him, we too become children of God.<\/p>\n

\nBut as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Living in This Truth<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Because of this, when we face suffering as Christ did, we should not be afraid or discouraged. Instead, we can rejoice.<\/p>\n

Why? Because just as Christ suffered and later entered into glory, we too will share in that same glory.<\/p>\n

God wants us to live boldly in this world\u2014not as orphans, but as children who know they have a loving Father in heaven who is deeply involved in every part of their lives.<\/p>\n

If God Himself has confirmed that we are His children, why should we doubt it?
\nWhy should people deny it?
\nWhy should the world reject it?<\/p>\n
