Every Christian must understand that following the will of God is a spiritual battle. God’s will is His Word. When someone reads God’s Word, understands it, and lives according to it, they are truly walking in God’s will.

Today we will look at one important truth from God’s Word that the devil tries to steal from many people. Satan does not want believers to hold on to the Word of God, because God’s Word is the very key to success and blessing.

For example, the Bible tells us to be people of prayer (Colossians 4:2; Philippians 4:6; James 5:16; Jude 1:20). Prayer is the shield that protects us from the temptations of the enemy (Mark 14:38). Whoever prays cannot be overcome by the devil’s temptations.

How does temptation look in real life?

When you plan to go to church and suddenly something comes up to hinder you that is temptation. Or when you plan to do a good deed, but something interferes with your plan that too is temptation. Such temptations can be avoided when you live a life of prayer.

The Main Question: Is there witchcraft in doing good?

The answer is simple: No! There is no witchcraft in doing good.

Satan tries to scare people by saying: “If you give something to someone, they may bewitch you or curse you.” But these are lies meant to stop you from receiving God’s blessing. Satan knows that one of the keys to blessing is giving. Our Lord Jesus taught us this principle when He said:

लूका 6:38
“तुम दो तो तुम्हें भी दिया जाएगा। तुम्हें पूरा नाप कर, दबा-दबा कर, हिला-हिला कर, ऊपर तक भर कर दिया जाएगा। लोग तुम्हारी झोली में डाल देंगे। क्योंकि जिस नाप से तुम नापते हो, उसी नाप से तुम्हारे लिये भी नापा जाएगा।” (ERV-HI)

But Satan twists these words to instill fear: “Don’t give to strangers; don’t share your clothes, or they’ll take them to a witch doctor, and you’ll become poor. Don’t help beggars they’re sorcerers who will steal your destiny.” These are lies of the enemy to keep people from God’s blessing.

The truth is this: doing good will never harm you. Even if the one asking is a sorcerer or an unbeliever, if they are truly in need and you help them, you will not suffer any loss. Instead, God Himself will bless you.

नीतिवचन 25:21-22
“यदि तेरा बैरी भूखा हो तो उसको अन्न खिला, और यदि वह प्यासा हो तो उसको जल पिला। ऐसा करने से तू उसके सिर पर अंगारे रखेगा, और यहोवा तुझे बदला देगा।” (ERV-HI)

Paul repeats the same principle in the New Testament (Romans 12:20).

Jesus Himself taught us:

मत्ती 5:42-48
42 “जो तुझसे माँगे उसे दे, और जो तुझसे उधार लेना चाहे उससे मुँह न मोड़।
43 तुमने सुना है, ‘अपने पड़ोसी से प्रेम रखना और अपने बैरी से बैर रखना।’
44 परन्तु मैं तुमसे कहता हूँ, अपने बैरियों से प्रेम रखो, और जो तुम्हें सताते हैं उनके लिये प्रार्थना करो।
45 ताकि तुम अपने स्वर्गीय पिता की सन्तान ठहरो। क्योंकि वह अपने सूर्य को बुरों और भलों दोनों पर उदय करता है, और धर्मियों और अधर्मियों दोनों पर वर्षा करता है।
46 यदि तुम उनसे प्रेम रखो जो तुमसे प्रेम रखते हैं, तो तुम्हें क्या प्रतिफल मिलेगा? क्या महसूल लेने वाले भी ऐसा ही नहीं करते?
47 और यदि तुम केवल अपने भाइयों को नमस्कार करो, तो क्या विशेष करते हो? अन्यजाति भी ऐसा ही करते हैं।
48 इसलिए तुम सिद्ध बनो, जैसे तुम्हारा स्वर्गीय पिता सिद्ध है।” (ERV-HI)
