Dreaming of giving birth.

What Does It Mean to Dream About Giving Birth?

Dreams of giving birth can have two possible meanings—a natural interpretation and a spiritual interpretation.

1. The Natural Meaning

Many dreams come from our daily activities, thoughts, and experiences. If a woman frequently thinks about childbirth, is expecting a baby, or has given birth in the past, it is not surprising that she might dream of giving birth. The Bible explains:

Ecclesiastes 5:3 (NIV)“A dream comes when there are many cares, and many words mark the speech of a fool.”

This means that our dreams can sometimes reflect the things we think about or experience often. If this applies to you, then the dream does not have any deep spiritual meaning—it is simply a reflection of your daily life.

2. The Spiritual Meaning

However, if the dream feels unusually significant—perhaps carrying a deep emotional weight or leaving you with a strong impression—then it may have a spiritual message.

Giving Birth Symbolizes the Manifestation of Something in Your Life

In the natural world, before someone gives birth, they carry a pregnancy for a long time. Similarly, in the spiritual realm, a dream of giving birth may indicate that something you have been working on, preparing for, or expecting is about to come into reality.

For those walking in righteousness, this can be a sign of a divine blessing, breakthrough, or the fulfillment of God’s promises. The angel told Mary:

Luke 1:30-31 (NIV)“But the angel said to her, ‘Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus.’”

This signifies that when God places something in your heart—whether a dream, a calling, or a promise—He will bring it to fulfillment.

A Warning for Those Living in Sin

However, for those living in sin, the dream may symbolize the consequences of their actions coming to pass. The Bible warns that evil actions also give birth to negative results:

Job 15:35 (NIV)“They conceive trouble and give birth to evil; their womb fashions deceit.”

Psalm 7:14 (NIV)“Whoever is pregnant with evil conceives trouble and gives birth to disillusionment.”

James 1:14-15 (NIV)“But each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.”

If you are engaged in ungodly behavior, this dream may be a warning from God—calling you to repent before the consequences of your actions manifest.

What Are You About to Give Birth To?

The Bible teaches that every action we take will eventually bear fruit—whether good or bad:

Matthew 3:10 (NIV)“The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.”

This means that our choices today determine our future. Are you preparing to give birth to a blessing or a burden? A destiny or destruction?

The Good News – Jesus Can Transform Your Life

If your dream has left you worried, remember this: Jesus Christ offers redemption and renewal. No matter what your past looks like, He can turn things around and cause you to bear good fruit instead of destruction.

If you surrender your life to Him, He can cancel any negative outcome and lead you into a new beginning filled with His favor. The Bible assures us:

2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV)“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

Are you ready to receive this new beginning? If so, take a moment to pray and surrender your life to Christ. Let Him guide you toward a future full of His blessings and purpose.

CHRIST’S LOVE COMPELS US

When someone does you a great kindness, it is natural that your soul will not find rest until you reciprocate, at least in some way. Even if you cannot fully repay what has been done for you, gratitude can be expressed through prayer and blessing that person before God. This is a common human instinct.

Similarly, when we are saved, we realize that someone—Jesus Christ—loved us to the fullest, even dying for our sins. Had He not died, we would still be under the dominion of sin and death (Romans 5:8; 6:23).

It is clear that when we truly appreciate such extraordinary kindness, we feel compelled to respond. While we cannot repay Christ with our own deeds—because we have already sinned against God many times—there is a way we can show our gratitude: by extending His love to others who have not yet experienced it, so that they too may be saved. This is why we share the Gospel and pray for others.

The Apostle Paul wrote:

“For the love of Christ compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.”
—2 Corinthians 5:14 (NIV)

Notice the word compels. Just as Christ’s amazing love gave Himself for us freely, it becomes a debt of love toward us, motivating us to reach others with the good news. We are called not to take His grace lightly, but to actively participate in sharing it:

“As God’s co-workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain. For he says, ‘In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.’ I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.”
—2 Corinthians 6:1-2 (NIV)

If you are saved, rejoice and give thanks for that grace! But remember, there are many who still need salvation. Ask yourself: since my own salvation, have my gifts or abilities helped lead someone else to Christ? If your spiritual gifts have only been used for comfort or personal benefit, then they are incomplete—they have not yet fulfilled God’s purpose (1 Peter 4:10).

Therefore, let us all allow Christ’s love to become a debt we must repay—not with our own merits, but by serving God and extending His love to others. In doing so, the grace of God reaches many more, so that they too may rejoice in the salvation of our Lord Jesus Christ.

What empowered the apostles to transform the world in their time was their collective recognition of Christ’s love, which became a motivating debt for them. They served God with all that they had. Likewise, let us transform Christ’s love into a living, active obligation in our lives.

And the Lord will be glorified in our service and in our lives.

Shalom.

Learn How to Use the Word of God

Blessed be the name of our Lord Jesus.
Welcome as we study the Bible together.

Have you ever wondered why battles fought by soldiers are always difficult? No matter how well-armored they are against weapons and bullets, war remains hard. Why is that?

It’s because the enemy you face is equipped just like you. They hold weapons, have received training, and wear protective gear similar to yours. Almost everything a soldier possesses, the enemy has as well. That is what makes battle difficult.

This is true not only in physical wars but also in worldly competitions. Games and challenges are tough because opponents are equally prepared, have strategies, and possess intellect similar to ours.

Spiritual Battles Are Similar

In the spiritual realm, we must recognize that we are in a battle. Our enemy is not powerless; he is a soldier just like us. When we read Ephesians 6:11, it says:

“Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.”

This verse reminds us that Satan also holds weapons. If he were not a soldier, the Bible would not tell us to take up the shield. We are to prepare because our adversary is armed.

In the spiritual world, we and the enemy are similar in appearance: both are armored, both wield weapons. The Word of God is described as a sword — a spiritual weapon that cuts in two directions. Satan also possesses knowledge of the Word and may attempt to use it against God’s people, just as he did with Jesus.

Consider Luke 4:9-13, where Satan used Scripture in the wilderness to tempt the Lord. But Jesus overcame him by wielding the Word with authority and discernment.

Spiritual Warfare Requires Skill and Will

A true soldier does not rely solely on having a weapon or armor. A soldier must have skill, strategy, discipline, and courage. Likewise, in spiritual warfare, possessing the Word of God is not enough. We must know how to apply it with understanding and authority.

Many believers fail because they have the Word but lack the will, skill, or experience to use it effectively. This is why the enemy can cause harm even when the Word is present.

To fight successfully, we must learn and internalize the Word, not just read it. Reading without understanding is like a child reciting a biology textbook without comprehension; memorization alone does not equate to mastery.

2 Timothy 2:15 says:

“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.”

The goal is not only to memorize Scripture but to master it, to wield it with discernment and authority against the schemes of the enemy.

Spiritual Forces Are Organized

Satan and his demons are described as organized armies. Ephesians 6:12 emphasizes:

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”

Notice it says “armies,” not merely “multitudes.” This highlights that the spiritual realm is strategic and well-armed, requiring us to be equally disciplined and prepared.

In Luke 8:30, a demon identifies himself as “Legion” because many evil spirits had entered him. This shows their organization and strength. Christians must remain vigilant, stand firm, and increase their skill in using the Word of God.

Application for Believers

  • Engage deeply in studying God’s Word, not superficially.
  • Learn to apply Scripture effectively in spiritual battles.
  • Develop skill, discernment, and courage in wielding the Word.
  • Trust in the power of the Holy Spirit to guide and empower you.

The Lord Jesus is our example. When tempted with Scripture, He used the Word decisively and with authority, demonstrating the importance of mastery and willpower.

May God help us to be filled with His Spirit so that we can wield His Word skillfully and overcome the schemes of the devil.

Herod and Pilate: Two Enemies United

Praise the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ forever.
I hope you are well. Today, I invite you to reflect with me on the living Word of our God.

We will examine a key event that occurred shortly before Christ endured the intense suffering of the crucifixion—the remarkable moment when two long-time enemies, Herod and Pilate, met and came together.

Luke 23:11-12 (ESV):

“Then Herod with his soldiers treated him with contempt and mocked him, arraying him in splendid clothing, and sent him back to Pilate. That very day Herod and Pilate became friends, because previously they had been enemies with each other.”

Have you ever wondered why these men, who had other means of negotiation—diplomatic or economic—only came together over the arrest of a single righteous man? Why was Jesus so significant to them? After all, He was not a politician or a businessman, nor a spy; He was a Jew, and they were Romans, operating in Israel primarily to maintain political control and to collect taxes for the Emperor in Rome, thousands of miles away.

Clearly, Jesus had no worldly significance to them. Yet, this union of enemies was not ordinary. It was orchestrated by a higher authority—the spiritual realm of darkness.

Jesus Himself alluded to this shortly before His arrest in Gethsemane:

Luke 22:52-53 (ESV):

“Then Jesus said to the chief priests, the officers of the temple guard, and the elders who had come for him, ‘Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs? When I was with you day after day in the temple, you did not lay hands on me. But this is your hour, and the power of darkness.’”

The “powers of darkness” always work strategically. To bring about distress, they unite leaders—even long-standing enemies—to amplify the effect of their plan.

If Herod and Pilate had not joined forces, Jesus would not have been crucified, because the decree required the agreement of both authorities. It was not only these two rulers; the Scriptures tell us that even nations and the people of Israel—including scribes and priests, long divided—united to conspire against Christ.

Matthew 22:34-36 (contextually):

The Pharisees and Sadducees, who often opposed each other, joined forces in their opposition to Jesus, demonstrating that spiritual agendas can override natural enmities.

Acts 4:25-27 (ESV):

“You spoke by the Holy Spirit through the mouth of your servant David: ‘Why did the Gentiles rage, and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers were gathered together, against the Lord and against his Anointed.’ For truly in this city, Herod and Pontius Pilate, along with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, gathered together against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed.”

This shows that the team plotting Jesus’ destruction was far larger than most imagine, and much of it was made possible by the union of enemies.

Similarly, in the end times, the spirit of the Antichrist will unite nearly all nations. This union will not come from peace treaties, economic agreements, or diplomatic negotiations—these have repeatedly failed throughout history. Instead, it will be orchestrated by the powers of darkness to establish a global system opposing Christ.

Consider this: why would the world unite under a single authority so powerful that it controls buying, selling, and governance? Just as Herod and Pilate—long-time enemies—were brought together for God’s plan, Satan must orchestrate this to fulfill his agenda.

Those who have rejected Christ’s salvation will witness unprecedented events suddenly striking those left behind, forcing the world under the Antichrist’s system. This will mark a tribulation like no other since creation.

The Lord wants to protect us from this time of global destruction:

Revelation 3:10 (ESV):

“Because you have kept my word of patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial that is coming on the whole world, to try those who dwell on the earth.”

We must ask ourselves: are we ready? Have we embraced His Word of patience and endurance? If we are confident in Christ, we will be with Him in heaven. If not, we risk being left behind. It is therefore essential to dedicate our lives to the Lord now, and He will ensure our safe passage through these perilous times.

Maranatha!

WHICH ARE THESE WEAPONS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS FOR THE RIGHT HAND AND THE LEFT HAND?

QUESTION: In 2 Corinthians 6:7, the Bible does mention about weapons of righteousness for the right hand and for the left hand. Which are they?

‭2 Corinthians 6:7 NIV‬
[7] in truthful speech and in the power of God; with weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left; “

According to the scripture above, there are weapons (spiritual) for the right and left hands. Apart from these, there are also other weapons which are fastened onto the feet, the chest area and the head),even though not part of what we are going to learn in our today’s study of the Bible. Today, our study of the Word focuses on those weapons that are for the hands,as we have read in above scripture.

ANSWER:

For us to find the answer to our question above,let us read the Book of Ephesians. The Bible says ;

Ephesians 6:13-17 NIV‬
[13] “Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. [14] Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, [15] and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. [16] In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. [17] Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. “

If you carefully make a picture of the kind of soldier portrayed in the scripture above, you can see that he holds a SWORD in one hand and in the other, a SHIELD. The two, that is, ” the Sword and the Shield “, are the weapons for the right and the left hands.

Talking of the Shield, the Bible refers to our Faith. As a weapon, faith is fastened on the hand, and therefore must not be ‘dropped down’.By faith,we are empowered to extinguish all the fiery darts of the evil one. Also, through faith,we can do the impossible, according to Hebrews chapter 11.

In verse 17 of the book of Ephesians chapter 6,the Bible mentions the Sword, referring to the Word of God.When we fill our minds with God’s Word, and let it dwell richly in us,we are able to stand against the enemy and his armies. They cannot overpower us.We will dash them to pieces, because we are filled with and therefore know God’s word.

‭Hebrews 4:12-13( NIV‬ );

[12] “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

[13] Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account. “

Faith and the Word of God are closely tied together.They are both fastened on the hands. One on the right hand and the other on the left hand.One is dependent upon the other. We read this in;

‭Romans 10:17 (NIV‬ );

[17] “Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ. “

Do you have these weapons with you? Remember, you cannot claim to have them unless you have fully become a soldier in the world of the spirit. The weapons are meant for battle. If you aren’t facing any battle (spiritual warfare),then you are not yet a soldier. If you still live as the people of the world do,you do not need any weapon, because there’s nothing you are protecting against the Enemy. You are still under his authority and dominion. What would you need a sword or a shield for?

When you are born again and become a true believer in Christ, living righteously, and having forsaken your former evil ways, you become a soldier. You make the most sought-after and a greatly feared person by the enemy. You become an enemy of the devil. This means you have be alert always lest you be caught off-guard by the enemy, and, thus suffer ruin.

May the Lord help us to be true and bold soldiers of Christ, having put on the weapons of righteousness to enable remain grounded in faith, fighting for our salvation to the end.

Seek to Fulfill God’s Work Through the Ministry He Has Placed in You

We serve God through the spiritual gifts He has entrusted to us, for these gifts give birth to our ministry. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are compared to the parts of a human body. Just as each part of the body has its own function, so do the gifts in the Body of Christ. Paul explains:

“For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.”

(Romans 12:4–5)

The Nature of Spiritual Gifts

One striking feature of body parts is that none exists for its own benefit; every part serves the other parts.

Feet carry the entire body, not just themselves.

Hands feed the mouth, wash the body, and comb the hair.

Eyes do not look at themselves; they watch over the entire body

Ears listen for the sake of the body.

The heart pumps blood to all the parts; it does not beat for its own pleasure.

Likewise, spiritual gifts function to edify and build up the Body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:7). Where there is no mutual support, something is wrong, and the Holy Spirit’s presence is absent. But where He is present, every member serves the others in love (Ephesians 4:16).

Are You Serving the Body?

If you find that you neither help others nor need help from anyone, it may indicate spiritual deadness—like a lifeless limb that no longer functions. Paul warned that spiritual inactivity can lead to being “disconnected from the Head” (Colossians 2:19).

Do not remain in this state; seek revival today!

Discovering Your Gift

Many believers claim, “I don’t know my gift, so I’m waiting for God to reveal it to me.”

But gifts are rarely discovered by passive waiting. Instead, they are uncovered in active service. As you engage in different areas of ministry, you will discover where you excel joyfully and naturally, often without external prompting.

Like the lepers in 2 Kings 7:1–15, who stepped out in faith and found God’s provision, you too must take action. As you serve, God will confirm and strengthen your calling, opening new doors of effectiveness.

Practical Steps to Walk in Your Ministry

Engage with the Body of Christ – Participate in the life of your local church. Offer your skills, ideas, and time wherever you can (Hebrews 10:24–25).

Observe where God uses you most effectively – Perhaps your words of comfort restore hope to the brokenhearted, or your counsel brings clarity to the confused.

Grow through practice – As you serve, the Lord will expand your capacity, increase your wisdom, and deepen your burden for the work.

Eventually, your calling will become so integral to your life that it will feel like spiritual “food,” echoing Jesus’ words:

“My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of Him who sent me and to finish His work.”

(John 4:34)

Check Your Motives

Spiritual gifts are for building others, not for personal gain. If your goal is fame, money, or personal status, another spirit is at work (Acts 8:18–23). Genuine service flows from love and the desire to glorify Christ (1 Peter 4:10–11).

Do Not Delay

If you have been waiting for visions, dreams, or angelic visitations before serving, remember:

“We walk by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:7)

Step out in faith today. Join those already laboring in God’s vineyard, and He will lead you to your appointed ministry.

A Call to Salvation

Before you can work for Christ, you must first belong to Him. Accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, be filled with the Holy Spirit, and allow Him to guide your steps (John 3:3; Acts 1:8).

Seek earnestly to fulfill God’s work with the ministry He has placed in you, and He will honor you (1 Samuel 2:30).

May the Lord bless you as you serve Him faithfull

AND THE SPIRIT AND THE BRIDE SAY, “COME!”

Shalom! I welcome you to reflect together on the words of life.

In this final season, there is only one response that will identify who the true Bride of Christ is.

Remember, the bride is different from a concubine. Solomon had 700 concubines, but his wives (the brides) were only 300. The difference between a wife and a concubine is that the wife has full legal rights, including inheritance and property, while a concubine may be given many things but not the inheritance or the family name.

You can see this in the life of Abraham. Besides Isaac, he had seven other sons, but they were given only gifts—lands, houses, and other possessions. Isaac alone received everything: the gifts, the inheritance, and the name. That is why even today we recognize Isaac and not the others, because they were sons of concubines and not sons of the lawful wife, Sarah.

Genesis 25:5–6
“And Abraham gave all that he had unto Isaac. But unto the sons of the concubines, which Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts, and sent them away from Isaac his son, while he yet lived, eastward, unto the east country.”

So it is even in these last days—these two groups still exist. Therefore, do not rejoice merely because God blesses you, or because He gives you this or that. Rejoice when you are certain that you are an heir of God’s eternal promises after this life.

For concubines are always more numerous than wives.

Now, when we return to the book of Revelation, you will see in many places that the Lord Jesus declared these words: “Behold, I am coming quickly.” Read the following:

Revelation 22:7
“Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”

Revelation 22:12
“And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.”

This shows that the time of His return to the earth is very near.

But if you go a little further down, you will see two who are recorded as responding to that call—the Holy Spirit and the Bride.

Revelation 22:17
“And the Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come!’ And let him who hears say, ‘Come!’ And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.”

Why did the Bride have the boldness to respond to that call, saying, “Come, Lord Jesus”? It is because she knew her true inheritance was near. It is because she had confidence in her faith through the Holy Spirit who dwelt within her.

That is why even the apostle John, when he heard the Lord repeat those words again, responded with great courage and said, “Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.”

Revelation 22:20
“He who testifies to these things says, ‘Surely I am coming quickly.’ Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!”

Only the Bride, filled with the Holy Spirit, will have the courage to speak these words in these last days.

The question to ask ourselves is this: Can you and I say these words? Remember, the answer is not in our mouths but in our hearts. If we do not have that boldness, then we are not the Bride—no matter how much we may claim to be saved. We would only be like the concubines, and when the day of the rapture comes, we will remain here on earth; we will not be taken together with the true Bride.

Concubines are also symbolized by the foolish virgins who took their lamps but carried no extra oil in their vessels. When the Bridegroom came, they were found without enough oil.

Matthew 25:1–13 (Excerpt)
“Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom… Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish… While the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.
And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’…
And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.”

Therefore, brothers and sisters, let us not rejoice merely in calling ourselves Christians. Rather, let us rejoice in being the Bride—filled with the Holy Spirit. Remember the word of the Lord:

Matthew 22:14
“For many are called, but few are chosen.”

If we are already saved but still living lukewarm lives, then this is our time to prepare our lamps in the short time we have left.

May God grant us, by His grace, to reach a blessed end.

Maranatha — Come, Lord!

KEEP YOURSELF FROM DEFILEMENT

Blessed be the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Welcome as we reflect once again on the Scriptures today.

There is great confusion in Christianity regarding food. Some believe that certain foods are unclean, while others believe that all foods are lawful to eat—leading to endless disputes.

If we read the Scriptures carefully, we will see that food cannot defile a person. However, this does not mean that everything is beneficial. Certainly not! You cannot eat wood, iron, poison, or alcohol and say they are suitable—they destroy the body rather than build it.

1 Corinthians 10:23
“All things are lawful, but not all things are helpful. All things are lawful, but not all things build up.”

Therefore, if you are certain that what you are eating does not harm your body, then eat—it is not a sin. But if you know it is harmful, do not eat it. Likewise, if you have doubts or uncertainty about whether it may harm you, it is better not to eat it at all, because abstaining is not a sin.

Romans 14:22–23
“The faith that you have, keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the one who has no reason to pass judgment on himself for what he approves. But whoever has doubts is condemned if he eats, because the eating is not from faith. For whatever does not proceed from faith is sin.”

Today we will not focus deeply on the subject of food. If you would like a teaching on that topic, you may let us know. Instead, we will learn how to avoid defilement through the following well-known passage.

Let us read:

Mark 7:5, 14–16
“Then the Pharisees and the scribes asked Him, ‘Why do Your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat with defiled hands?’
And He called the people to Him again and said to them, ‘Hear Me, all of you, and understand: There is nothing outside a person that by going into him can defile him, but the things that come out of a person are what defile him. If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.’”

Our Lord Jesus spoke these words to a crowd that may have numbered in the hundreds or even thousands. Among them were His twelve disciples, and together they heard that nothing entering a person defiles them, but what comes out does.

After saying this, the Lord did not continue explaining, so everyone left with their own interpretation. Many likely thought that what enters a person is food, and what comes out is vomit, feces, or urine—and that these are what defile a person. The entire crowd dispersed believing they had understood the Lord, yet in truth they had not understood Him at all.

Later, the disciples realized there was something they had not grasped, so they approached Him privately and asked for clarification.

Let us read:

Mark 7:17–23
“And when He had entered the house and left the people, His disciples asked Him about the parable. And He said to them, ‘Then are you also without understanding? Do you not see that whatever goes into a person from outside cannot defile him, since it enters not his heart but his stomach, and is expelled?’ (Thus He declared all foods clean.)
And He said, ‘What comes out of a person is what defiles him. For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.’”

Do you see that? The disciples received the explanation clearly—but the crowd did not. The crowd left thinking defilement meant sweat, vomit, or bodily waste. But that is not so! Defiling things are those that come from the heart, not the body.

When you walk down the street and accidentally hear someone using insults, those words enter your ears and are stored in your memory—yet that does not defile you. But when you later become angry, open that storehouse, and use those same insults against someone else, that is when you become defiled.

If you witness a wrongdoing such as abortion that you did not commit, the event is stored in your heart—but you are not defiled. However, if one day you become pregnant and choose abortion, or advise another person to do so, then you have become defiled. The same principle applies to many other sins.

A defiled person before God is spiritually unclean. In the Old Testament, an unclean person was not allowed to enter the assembly of God but was separated until they were purified. Even today, defilement still exists. If you are a drunkard, sexually immoral, an adulterer, a murderer, abusive in speech, practicing homosexuality, addicted to pornography, a gossip, and so on—you are defiled before God. It does not matter how many years you have called yourself a Christian; you still need repentance and must separate yourself from such things.

Titus 1:15–16
“To the pure, all things are pure, but to the defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; both their minds and their consciences are defiled. They profess to know God, but they deny Him by their works. They are detestable, disobedient, unfit for any good work.”

If you are not yet saved, Christ loves you and died for us. Salvation is freely available today. What you should do right where you are is kneel down personally and repent sincerely before Him. If you truly mean it when you say “Amen,” He has already heard you and forgiven you. You will experience a remarkable peace entering your heart.

After that, seek proper biblical baptism—baptism in much water:

John 3:23
“John also was baptizing at Aenon near Salim, because water was plentiful there, and people were coming and being baptized.”

And be baptized in the name of our Savior Jesus Christ—the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit:

Matthew 28:19
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

Acts 2:38
“And Peter said to them, ‘Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.’”

By obeying these few and simple commands, you assure heaven that you have truly turned to God, and He will honor you. The true cleansing of Christ will come into your life.

May the Lord bless you.

If you are saved, do not forget to pray daily for the Church, for all Christians, and for the servants of God.

Maranatha!

HIS NAME IN HEBREW IS ABADDON, AND IN GREEK APOLLYON

In the Bible, Satan is described with different names that reveal his character and the works he performs on earth. For example, when Scripture calls him Satan or the Devil, it is because he is the adversary and accuser of our souls before God. This aligns with the meaning of his name (Revelation 12:10).

Elsewhere, he is called the Dragon (Revelation 12:9) because he is a deceiver like the serpent in Eden and a devourer of souls just as dragons devour their prey.

In other places, he is called the prince of this world (John 12:31; 2 Corinthians 4:4) because much of what is exalted in this world is under his dominion.

He is also called the prince of the power of the air (Ephesians 2:2), because the forces of darkness in the spiritual realm operate under his command. He is the father of demons, sorcery, and all wickedness.

Another title is the Tempter (Matthew 4:3; 1 Thessalonians 3:5), because he is the source of temptations that seek to bring down believers. That is why Jesus warned:

“Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak” (Matthew 26:41).

But above all these names, Scripture shows that he will one day be revealed with another title—Abaddon (in Hebrew) or Apollyon (in Greek). This name means The Destroyer (Revelation 9:11). It describes his ultimate work: to bring destruction upon humanity.

The Fifth Trumpet and the Release of Abaddon
When we read the book of Revelation, after the rapture of the Church, extraordinary judgments will unfold on the earth. After the seven seals, the seven trumpets are blown. Let us focus on the fifth trumpet, which directly introduces Abaddon/Apollyon.

Revelation 9:1–6 (NKJV):
“Then the fifth angel sounded: And I saw a star fallen from heaven to the earth. To him was given the key to the bottomless pit. And he opened the bottomless pit, and smoke arose out of the pit like the smoke of a great furnace. So the sun and the air were darkened because of the smoke of the pit. Then out of the smoke locusts came upon the earth. And to them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power… And they were not given authority to kill them, but to torment them for five months… In those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will desire to die, and death will flee from them.”

John explains that these locusts are not literal insects but demonic forces imprisoned until that appointed time (see Jude 1:6). They will be commanded by their king: “And they had as king over them the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, but in Greek he has the name Apollyon” (Revelation 9:11).

These spirits will torment people who do not have the seal of God (compare with Revelation 7:3). They will not kill but will inflict unbearable torment, so intense that people will long for death but not find it.

Why This Matters Now
Today Satan already acts as a destroyer, but the devastation in that time will be far greater. These demons will drive people to madness, cruelty, division, and unbearable suffering—like the man possessed in the tombs of the Gadarenes (Mark 5:2–5). They will produce affliction without relief, diseases without cure, and despair without death.

This terrifying prophecy teaches us that it is only the presence of the Holy Spirit in the Church that restrains such evil from breaking loose now. Paul confirms:
“For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed…” (2 Thessalonians 2:7–8).

When the Church is taken away in the rapture, the restraint will be removed, and the earth will face unparalleled destruction. Jesus Himself warned: “There will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be” (Matthew 24:21).

A Call to Salvation
The question, then, is: Do we still despise the salvation offered in Christ?
Jesus is full of mercy and warns us before judgment comes suddenly. He calls us to repent, be baptized in His name (Acts 2:38), and live in holiness. For the world is passing away, but “he who does the will of God abides forever” (1 John 2:17).

Christ asked, “For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?” (Mark 8:36).

Therefore, now is the time of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2). Let us surrender to Christ before it is too late.

✦ Conclusion: Abaddon/Apollyon is not just a title but a revelation of Satan’s destructive mission in the end times. Yet, those who belong to Christ have the seal of God and will escape the wrath to come through the rapture of the saints.

THE SPIRITUAL REALM EXISTS AND HAS AN IMPACT ON OUR LIVES!

In the book of Genesis, we read about creation. God created man from the dust of the earth, and He also created visible things like trees, animals, fish, and many others.

However, if you carefully read the creation account, you will notice that only what is visible to the naked eye is mentioned. The invisible things were not listed. For example, bacteria, which are more numerous than all visible creatures and have countless types, are not mentioned. Neither are viruses, nor the living blood cells in Adam’s body that defend him against bodily enemies. Likewise, dust is mentioned, but the much smaller building blocks of matter—protons and electrons—which are in every grain of soil and in all things, were not listed.

This means God’s creation is not limited to what we can see; He also made countless invisible things that exist among us. What we see is just a summary of all creation.

Many of life’s problems and successes are influenced by what we cannot see.

For example, all diseases are caused by unseen bacteria or viruses. The coronavirus, invisible to the naked eye, disrupted the whole world.

Likewise, many advances rely on the unseen: a thin wire can transmit electricity that powers massive machines or heats water in minutes—thanks to the invisible movement of electrons and protons.

In the same way, the spiritual realm exists. We cannot deny Satan, demons, or angels simply because we cannot see them.

Many events on earth originate in the spiritual realm. In fact, Scripture teaches:

“By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.” (Hebrews 11:3)

For this reason, the invisible should concern us even more than the visible:

“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” (2 Corinthians 4:18)

Even science confirms the reality of forces we cannot see—like gravity and magnetism—which remain mysteries to this day.

The spiritual world is real, and its effects on our lives are profound.

If you fear an unseen virus like HIV entering your body and avoid immorality for protection, consider that there are far worse unseen entities—evil spirits—that can enter your life through the same acts of sin, bringing direct destruction. A single demonic spirit gained through one sinful act can derail your entire life.

If you avoid an unseen electric shock by carefully handling wires, then fear sin even more, for there are unseen spiritual forces far more dangerous than electricity—capable of sudden and eternal destruction.

The Bible is our “microscope”, revealing the unseen. As we study God’s Word, we learn how to discern these spirits and guard against them. For example:

“But a man who commits adultery has no sense; whoever does so destroys himself.” (Proverbs 6:32)

When someone knows God’s Word and deliberately disobeys it, they open a door for demonic influence. These effects are not always immediate, but they become evident over time—sometimes through sudden misfortune, unexplained death, loss of honor, or even catastrophic accidents.

Many believe the only consequence of sexual immorality is contracting HIV, but the spiritual repercussions can be far worse.

May the Lord open our eyes to value the spiritual more than the physical and strengthen our faith. I say this because I personally encountered an evil spirit in the physical realm recently, and God reminded me that these spirits roam the earth seeking people to devour (1 Peter 5:8). In these last days, their efforts have intensified, knowing their time is short (Revelation 12:12).

Therefore, be vigilant. The spiritual realm is real.

Run into Christ for safety.
