Matthew 25:31“When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory;” Shalom, this is a continuation of a series of articles explaining the criteria that God will use to give different rewards to His people or to welcome them into His Kingdom. This is part three. If you haven’t gone through the previous parts, feel free to inbox us so we can send them to you. 3) The Bible shows us that there are people who will enter the Kingdom of God without knowing the reason. It is surprising that there is a group of people who will be granted the grace to enter the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ, without them knowing the reason — until it is revealed by Christ Himself on that day. We read about this group in the following verses: Matthew 25:31-46“31 When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory;32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats.33 And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left.34 Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in;36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’37 Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink?38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You?39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’41 Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:42 for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink;43 I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’44 Then they also will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’45 Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’46 And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.” This group consists of those who preserved and supported the servants of Christ while on earth, without knowing that they were actually ministering to Christ Himself. He is not speaking here of the poor, beggars, or orphans—those who help them have their own reward, which we will see in a coming article. Rather, the ones spoken of here are the saints of the Lord, who, because of their lives of service, experienced lack, illness, hunger, nakedness, homelessness, etc. There were those who saw them and helped them without realizing they were doing it to Christ Himself. Now when that day comes, these servants of the Lord will stand and mention them before Christ, and for that reason Christ will grant them the grace to enter His Kingdom—just as in the parable of the unjust steward we read in: Luke 16:1-12 The Apostle Paul prayed for mercy for the family of a man named Onesiphorus because of how they cared for and supported him in his needs while he was preaching: 2 Timothy 1:16-18“16 The Lord grant mercy to the household of Onesiphorus, for he often refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain;17 but when he arrived in Rome, he sought me out very zealously and found me.18 The Lord grant to him that he may find mercy from the Lord in that Day—and you know very well how many ways he ministered to me at Ephesus.” In the same way, those who see people who are sincerely seeking God as burdens—they mock them, insult them, drive them away—even when they ask for water, they consider them lazy. People who, when they hear about true servants of God, treat them as a nuisance—people like these, a time will come when Christ will also deny them. What does this teach us? If we say we love Christ, it means we also love those who love Him. If you hate the saints, how can you claim to love Christ? Therefore, there are people whom Christ will welcome in this manner. Likewise, there are people whom Christ will reject in this manner—because they did not receive Christ in His people. Shalom.Don’t miss the continuation… Please share this good news with others.
