Qn.What is the difference between a dream and Vision?
Ans: A dream is a series of images and thoughts and feelings that come during sleep, and they come without one’s free will, that means one does not plan or decide what to dream! they are just creating themselves!
And dreams can be influenced by our daily activities or the environment around us or what was around us a short time ago (Ecclesiastes 5: 3; Isaiah 29: 8),
And some dreams are from the devil and some are from God (Genesis 28:12, 37: 5-10).
And the Vision is not much different from a dream. Vision is the series of the images and feelings that come with being out of sleep…
And these also do not come as one intended, neither does anyone know what kind of vision he about to see, nor can snap a vision as one drowsy sleep….one suddenly finds himself looking or watching at something unusual or unusual,
or find himself in a certain event such as he dreams, and when he returns he finds himself not sleeping, perhaps he was walking or standing or was talking to someone and remembers the event he saw in that vision.
And visions can also be the result of many activities, especially people who are severely depressed and affected by substance abuse, as well as those caused by the devil. The devil can create visions on someone’s mind, these happen to many who are witches or possessed with demonic spirits.
And there is a vision from God.
Contrary to popular belief that everyone who is born again must see a divine vision, the truth is that not everyone must see a vision, one can be born again and even die and never have a vision in entire life and yet go to heaven.
The matter of seeing a vision or prophesying is the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and only God plan who to give and who not to give, the one who has not been given will have been gifted with another unique gift, and the one who is given will be deprived of other gifts of the Spirit.
It is impossible for all people to have the same gifts and it is impossible for one person to have all the gifts alone (read.1 Corinthians 12: 29-31).
The important thing is to be born again and to be a new creation, (Galatians 6:15) and to live according to the Word… to see visions or to prophesy or to teach, they are not tests of holiness or tickets to heaven (Matthew 7:22).
God Bless you!
